Safed Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu was questioned by Galilee district police on Sunday apparently over comments made in August in which he reportedly called on Jews not to rent or sell homes to Arabs.
The Mosawa advocacy center for Arab citizens of Israel at the time submitted a complaint to Attorney-General Menny Mazuz and called on him to initiate a criminal investigation against Eliyahu on the grounds that his reported comments constituted incitement to racism.
No further details about the questioning of Eliyahu were available from police on Sunday evening.
There have been no major terrorist attacks here in Safed. Anyone want to guess why?

They don't rent to Arabs?
You know that it is "humiliating" for a Muslim to have to pay rent to a Jewish landlord. Therefore they feel they are justified in murdering the landlord and "reclaiming" the property.
I love Tsfat. It is so amazing up there.
So, counseling someone not to rent to an Arab in Israel constitutes incitment? Okay.
In contrast, the PA puts on a Sesame Street knockoff in which a bird puppet tells kids to "stage a masscre" if Jews knock down their olive tree.

"The Mosawa advocacy center for Arab citizens of Israel" should be shut down and everyone working there kicked out of the country.
