There is a reasonable chance that two more Democrat Senate seats could be lost to the GOP when the next Congress convenes.

“Trump will have more trouble with Senate RINOs than anyone else.”

Yeah, already we see that “The Senate Turtle” is saying “we” are going to “go slow” on replacing Obamacare! I wish that old bastard would step in front of a car.

“WV gov is a Dem. Does gov appoint or is there a special election?”

That would only occur if there were a vacancy. What I’ve been given to understand is that Manchin is thinking about switching parties, not taking a new position with the Trump Administration.

Can he appoint some RINOs like Lindsay Graham and John McCain to something so we can get them out of the Senate too?

My thoughts exactly. I would love to see both of them get some Ambassadorships. Wouldn’t it be great to get rid of them? Heck yeah it would. While were at it, lets send Flake away too.

Maine splits it’s electoral votes by Congressional district.

The second district, covering 80% of the state, went for Trump, giving him one electoral vote.

Madame Hillary won the more liberal First Congressional district giving her one electoral vote, and she won the statewide vote by 2.7%, giving her two more.

Our conservative GOP governor, Paul LePage, is going to run against the “independent” Angus King in 2018.

Can we replace the two in Arizona and one in SC first?

"the rats will not give up."

They will openly ally with Muslim terrorists on US soil before they give up.

I believe Collins would be appointed by Maine’s governor. Paul LaPage would appoint a Conservative Republican. There are conservatives up in Maine, but Portland to Kittery receivedliberals from Mass, so they make it blue...

Manchin lost a lot of popularity here after his gun control statements. The ones he made with Toomey after Sandy Hook. I doubt he could get elected to anything again.

No, the article just talked about Manchin switching parties, not joining the Trump admin.

Maine is a very blue state. Trump may have made it more competitive, but he lost. Susan is a half liberal, which is why she wins. She’s good for procedural votes, but that is all.

I admit I have never been there, but just looking on the internet, they have a republican governor, a majority in the state senate, and in the 151 seat house, they are behind by 9 seats. Seems very winnable in 2018.

Lindsay Graham Ambassador to Unzbekistan... I’d sacrifice UK or any country to get him out of the Senate.

The Second District congressman in Maine is a Republican, who just got re-elected to his second term by 9 points.

The Second Congressional district was won by Trump, and gave him one electoral vote because Maine splits it’s electoral votes. Hillary won CD 1 and the statewide vote by 2.7% which netted her two more electoral votes in addition to the one electoral vote she received by winning CD 1.

The First Congressional district in southern Maine is 20% of the state but is more populated than the rest of the state of Maine. Portland in southern Maine is a liberal area.

We have both concealed and Constitution Carry here. Mikey Bloomberg’s “universal background checks” initiative failed last month.

According to a Republican party official here in Maine,
Maine WAS a blue state, is now a purple state and is trending red.

See my post # 54.

As for Susan Collins, she has a conservative rating of only 27%.

She gets re-elected because many democrats like her, RINOs like her, and the democrat party usually run someone who is such a left-wing moonbat that he or she makes Collins look good in comparison.

Last time she was up, I did a write-in of a local Republican. I refuse to cast a vote for her.

Wishful thinking. The governor of West Virginia is a Democrat so a Democrat would be appointed to replace Manchin. And Heitkamp knows why she’s being considered so why would she play along?

Even then it would be easier to flip him then the pressure will be to vote conservative. I don’t even know if the guy has a political philosophy but he’d be a good path to fifty three GOP senators right now.
