Will Cruz Endorse Trump?
PJ MEDIA ^ | 5-28-2016 | MICHAEL VAN DER GALIEN

owa radio host Steve Deace -- who was one of Ted Cruz's most important backers in the first primary state and who has a nationally syndicated radio show -- recently asked his followers on Twitter whether they want Senator Ted Cruz to publicly endorse Donald Trump.

The results show that 83% say no, while only 17% say they want Cruz to use his political capital to help Trump.

I asked Greetings Puny Humans a question, not you, ok? I have told you twice to buzz off but you come back with stupid questions like “what are you going on about?” when, in fact, you are going on - relentlessly. Scram, you bother me.

The truth is what all need to hear. Abolish human pre-born genocide, uphold the law. If Cruz is the one who will be the thorn in the side of the congress critters, I say God bless Senator Cruz.

“When’s the last time enough delegates broke the “legally-bound-on-first-ballot” rule, when a candidate had over the required amount of delegates before the convention?”

Well, first of all, if you read the article you would see that there are a couple of court cases cited and the rulings in those cases are that state laws regarding voting cannot supercede the private entity of the RNC rules for voting for a nominee. So, there is no “legally bound on the first ballot”.

Second of all, enough delegates for what? To allow someone else to win the nomination rather than the person who was the presumptive nominee because of the number of state delegates they won is what I assume you mean? I do not know the answer to that question. But, if you’re that curious you could do the research and let us know. I would be interested to know the answer.

But, you understand there are technically right now no required number of delegates because the rules for this convention have not been written yet. Just as there is a presumptive nominee there are also a presumptive number of required delegates. For example, the rules committee could decide the nominee needs 2000 delegates to win the nomination, which would then lead to another contested convention.

GPH didn’t know the answer to yur question either. I pinged him with an answer as well, though not sure if he was one of the few I gave the link to. If you don’t like my answers then you are free to ignore me. I have simply given you the tools to learn for yourself the answer to the question you had. Carry on.

If you’re the GOP stalwart you claim, you’ve already voted for plenty of people who are far less conservative than Trump. And somehow you managed to do so without all the sanctimonious bovine excrement.

The evil in the GOP is systemic, but you prefer to cry about the splinter in a candidate’s eye? Pull the log out of thy own eye.

Trump may an openly sinful man, but you would prefer another hypocrite to salve your conscience. Just vote for Hillary and have done.

"Will Cruz endose Trump?"

Does anyone actually care?

At this point, what difference does it make?

Supporting Cruz for President is supporting an usurper.

Ted Cruz is a natural born American citizen.

The birther argument has no legal leg to stand on.

But I am sure you Cruz birther kooks are going to keep repeating the same drivel.

What was the vote spread between Bush and Gore in 2000? Unless you believe like some do that this is going to be a landslide then Trump potentially needs every vote he can get. But will it actually be a landslide? Who knows. Seems like a smart thing to me to work on the assumption it won’t be and do whatever you can to get every vote you can.

I have said that I am a Conservative first before a Republican.

Just vote for Hillary and have done.

I don't vote for communists. I will vote my conscience though. I would vote for Trump is he picks a strong conservative VP to run with, and take my chances. If he picks some GOPe running mate then I will vote third party or a write in.

Natural born citizens are born in this country to citizen parents.
They can only be a US citizen and nothing else.

Ted Cruz was born in Canada to a Cuban father and an American mother. He may have US citizenship, no one has seen any paperwork, but he is not a natural born citizen.
He was a Canadian citizen until very recently.
When did his parents file for his US citizenship?

There are no conditions on the conscience clause as far as I read. If the delegate believes the candidate does not uphold the party platform or would be detrimental to the party and/or country, they do not have to vote for them.

Delegates are bound to the state results (aka the will of the people) on the first ballot. Anyone claiming that delegates can still somehow vote Cruz in is basically a retard. It's over. Trump is the nominee. Anyone arguing that we should broaden the "conscience clause" to where someone who loses the Republican primary can still become President on the first ballot just by stuffing in neurotic and bribed people as delegates is also a deranged retard.

Please cite the law that says so. Specifically. And I don't mean legal opinion. Cite the law and/or court decisions in your answer.

Per the court cases cited in the article, delegates are not bound on the first votr regardless of state law.

No, Cruz’s base is not highly principled. They are not principled at all.
