Donald Trump vowed to put a “tremendous amount” of his own money into his campaign — even suggesting Sunday he might sell one of his own buildings from his real estate empire to get into the White House.

Trump acknowledged financing his primary campaign with millions in loans and small-dollar donations but said competing in a general election against a well-financed Democrat would be expensive.

“I’d have to sell a building, would I?” he told Fox News. “I don’t know. I have the option to do that.”

The likely GOP nominee has been working with Washington Republicans to raise money and has a $100 million commitment from conservative billionaire magnate Sheldon Adelson, but faces a backlash from several wealthy GOP donors, according to reports....

I believe he wants to fix our country and is putting up to do it.

I sent his campaign $100. A lot to me but I am going to save to send $100 more. God Bless this man!

Trump has said that he doesn't want to sell property and I don't think that will be necessary. But the more he can self finance or use a small donor network the better.

Donald I hope you self-fund, or nearly self-fund yourself all the way to the White House.

Nothing wrong with taking small, say less than $2000 from folks like me and other political entities. But, IMHO, when politicos start taking really big bucks from wealthy donors, that’s when the trouble starts. Large donors quickly become hangers on and wanters. The vicious circle begins.

I am going to send this American money also....on paper I am poor but I make enough to send “Free Republic” ...so I will send Donald cash as I see him putting his money where his mouth is.......very very rare. This is a once in a lifetime candidate. He has no need to do this.....as I have stated before he can afford to sit back and watch the world burn.....yet he chose’s not too, a good man ...a good American.

If he actually sells a building I’ll send a bigger donation than I’m planning to.

It probably will take selling more than one building. He has already said he does not expect to be repaid the 50 million dollar loan he made to the campaign.
Pray nothing happens to this man.

He could easily borrow a billion and pay it back in two or three years from his income.

His properties are prime, would be a shame to sell one.

Even though he is very rich it’s not right that he foot the bill entirely on his own.

Whoa....working with Washington Republicans...you mean the GOPe ?

I was told numerous times, after I keep repeating the sacrilegious idea that Trump in the general election will need the GOPe to beat Hillary made me a gutless RINO, an establishment tool, a globalist suck up...

Nice to know I was right...

There is nothing wrong with Trump getting financial support from the RNC and big donors...

You were right and we already new this. If you listened to Trump’s interviews, Trump said since LAST summer that he was going to get funds from the RNC for the general if he became the nominee.

He could have offered a pardon to Marc Rich if the guy wasn’t already dead and Clinton hadn’t already collected the 250 mil for the bribe.
