2016 Presidential Polls: Cruz on the Rise While Trump, Carson Deadlocked in Latest NBC Nat'l Poll
Latin Post ^ | November 1, 2015 | Glenn Minnis

Donald Trump and Ben Carson are deadlocked in the latest Republican 2016 presidential poll, with Texas Senator Ted Cruz now vaulting into double digit support and third-place overall.

Rubio, Bush and Fiorina

Perhaps even more encouraging for Cruz, among all GOP voters who watched the last debate he registers 17 percent of the vote, compared to 25 and 24 percent for Trump and Carson respectively. Overall, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio places fourth at nine percent, followed by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (five percent) and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina (four percent).

Trump vs. Carson

A deeper dive into the numbers easily reveal why such political neophytes like Trump and Carson are doing so well. Forty-six percent of all GOP leaning voters insist they are dissatisfied with the way the federal government works, and 48% express actual anger.

The two Republican leaders pretty much receive equal support from among the disenchanted, with Cruz finishing next among that sector at 16 percent.

Meanwhile, Carson also continues to poll well among white evangelical voters and is now leading Trump among Republic lean voters who describe themselves as "very conservative."

Carson's campaign to solidify his base among male and females voters also appears to be bearing fruit and he now leads Trump among women by six points.

Cruz

NBC reports the SurveyMonkey conducted national survey finds Trump and Carson each at 26 percent and with Cruz the only other candidate from among the crowded GOP field remaining in striking distance at 10 percent.

Cruz's rise appears tied to him snaring the highest marks among Republican voters and GOP-leaning independents during this month's third and most recent party debate.

While Trump continues to lead on the critical issue of who conservatives feel will best handle the economy, the latest developments mark the first time Cruz has registered double-digit support since formally launching his campaign over the summer.

People forget that one thing Cruz did when he started his campaign was get a strong “boots on the ground” organization in the early delegate selection states (e.g., Iowa and New Hampshire), not to mention courting the evangelical vote right from the start. As such, Cruz’s election committee has both the money and the organization for the critical primary season coming up.

“Why would MSNBC want to portray Cruz as rising and threatening Trump and Carson? Why would MSNBC not want Trump and/or Carson to be the Rep nominee?”

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Perhaps MSNBC believes that Cruz has a narrow, albeit passionate, base of support.

Unfortunately come election time, the vote of every extremely low information, America-hating, lawless Democrat voter, even if they didn’t actually vote, is equal to the vote of a knowledgeable patriotic Cruz voter.

Carville on Cruz... this comment from 2013-

I think he is the most talented and fearless Republican politician I’ve seen in the last 30 years... I’ve listened to excerpts of his speech in South Carolina. He touches every button, and this guy has no fear. He just keeps plowing ahead. And he is going to be something to watch.

As the conversation continued and others on the panel said that other conservatives such as Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) will likely also run in 2016, Carville added:

CARVILLE: Ted Cruz is going to eat their lunch. That guy, I’m telling you, he will out debate. I am just saying, he is a talent. I’m not rooting. I’m really sincere here. We watch him, he does things..and you go- “This guy is something.” Now I don’t agree with him. I think he’s out there. But I’mm telling you, he’s more talented than all of these other guys.

“A !debate! between Cruz and the Hildabeast, can you imagine that? Oh lord, what a night!”

You are right; it would certainly make up for the disappointment suffered when Paul Ryan debated Joe Biden.

Cruz has been standing up to the biased media since before Trump was writing checks to Hillary.

Old poll but Trump has risen back up and tied with Carson in this NBC/Monkey poll. Cruz at 10% is good news but he is still way back. Go Trump/Cruz

Plus the millions of illegal alien votes and that election night voodoo the Democrats perform with perfection on voting machines and ballots from one end of the country to the other. Regardless of who the GOP nominee eventually is they will have a tough, uphill fight even against the most flawed candidate in American presidential history in Shrillary Rodham.

God I hope so! Trump is the bare knuckled street fighter to take on the bully government. Cruzinator to keep him “Constitutional.” (Not that the Constitution ever meant anything to the current administration.)
