The black female protesters who stormed the stage became enraged. "We aren't reasonable!" they shouted back. "If you do not listen to [us], your event will be shut down," one of them declared to the crowd.

Sanders caved to the protesters from the Black Lives Matter movement and gave activist Marissa Johnson the microphone. "I was going to tell Bernie how racist this city is, even with all of these progressives, but you've already done that for me. Thank you," she said, apparently in response to members of the crowd who booed her. I suppose if you've already conceded that you aren't reasonable, it's not hard to argue that booing an uninvited rabble-rouser is "racist."
It's understandable that all eyes have been on the insane food fight Donald Trump has instigated on the right. Even Trump's biggest detractors — and I count myself among their number — have to concede that Trump is awfully entertaining. But while the spectacle on the right seems like a canceled TV reality show pilot — call it "Desperate Billionaires of Manhattan" — the spectacle on the left is no less fascinating or significant....

GOPe-lovin’ conservative pundits are always writing this “the Democrats are in disarray” column.
It seems to be brotherly taunting directed at Democrats that the writers know personally on the DC cocktail party circuit rather than serious analysis. Like “oh yeah, your team has it’s problems too.”
Funny how the Democrats win on policy even after losing elections despite being in disaray all the time.
Hopefully a re-run of the 68 convention is in order.

This jumped out at me:

Does Jonah really think that the jury is still out on whether or not Obama “moved the magnetic poles of American politics leftward?”
Hillary can just hire a couple black women to take his microphone away.
Isn’t Sanders officially an Independent? Then how can he run for the nomination of a party he is (supposedly) not a member of? Like most liberal constructs, this one does not make sense.

Speaking from personal experience, the rats operate like a well oiled machine.
And just as in 68, when they played it safe with Humphrey, they will play it safe with Joe Biden.
Yeah, that was knockout press conference and speech, I am impressed. He talks as if you are sitting at the dinner table with him, very informal. The crowd loved it and afterward they played “we’re not gonna take it”....which I think is a perfect theme song for his campaign.
Trump may well talk himself out of contention, Bernie won’t. He’s giving Democrats red meat and they are gobbling it up. The future will be far worse under Bernie but it seems to be what Americans want. Otherwise Ted Cruz would be doing far better than he is.
Ted’s in second place now.
Bernie just got royally PW’d. He’ll never be the same.
