Former Hewlett Packard executive Fiorina reveals in her memoir, Rising to the Challenge, that then-Republican presidential nominee McCain asked her to help Palin 'get up to speed on the economic issues facing the country' but Palin wasn't interested in her counsel.
Fiorina, a contender for the 2016 GOP nomination, says she still hasn't met the Tea Party superstar even though Palin endorsed her in 2010 when she was competing in the Republican primary for the U.S. Senate in California.
A surrogate for McCain in 2008 and a member of his inner circle, Fiorina claims in her memoir that two days before the Arizona senator made public his surprising pick for vice president, he called her on the phone and asked her to advise Palin....

It really didn’t matter who the pubs ran for president & VP in 2008 because Obama was going to become the first black president no matter what. The dems had the blue states, rigged the purple states, people were sick of Bush and pubs and many were excited about the 1st black President. game over.
what I don’t understand is why Carly thinks admitting that Palin would not even meet her will somehow make her look good. It just makes her look like a loser.

To give the illusion of choice. Pretty obvious.
For the way she handled Katie Couric , Fiorina could have taught Sarah Palin quite a bit; good counter puncher.
But Gov. Palin was a real vice presidential nominee of a major party, whereas Mrs. Fiorina is a vanity candidate with next to no chance of being the presidential nominee. Different circumstances.
Or perhaps the two follow their scripts well to boost her cred when it comes time to take on an evil conservative in a media ambush.

Does Ms Fiorina really think that “Rising to the Challenge” is a good name for her book? She didn’t rise to the challenge, she was an epic FAIL.
Maybe she’s raising her profile to be a candidate for a cabinet position.

She did a lousy job with Hewlett Packard. She is NOT a business woman. HP never recovered, and she is known as one of the worst CEOs ever.
And she has zero political experience. If she wanted to run for President, she should have spent the last 20 years in politics—winning, not grousing.
The closest she ever came in politics was winning a three-way primary as the Republican Senate candidate in California. She then proceeded to lose to Barbara Boxer.
