Polling data compiled by Tea Party Patriots and provided exclusively to Breitbart News shows that a majority of Republican voters think Republicans standing strong on immigration is more important than repealing Obamacare, getting to the bottom of the Benghazi or IRS scandalsor anything else for that matter.
When asked by TPPs pollster which issue they think is the important for Republicans in Congress to deal with, 34.6 percent of GOP voters said stopping the flow of illegal immigrants across our southern border. Stopping Obamas illegal overreach with executive power came in a distant second with 24 percent of GOP voters saying thats the most important, while 23 percent saying repealing Obamacare is the most important and just 7.2 percent say the IRS scandal is the most important issue and 2.8 percent say the Benghazi scandal is most important. A total of 8.4 percent of GOP voters said they dont know or refused to answer.

Speaker Boehner, pick up the yellow phone.
So naturally, the GOPe is doing everything in its power to cave.
Although the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate intrastate commerce which includes employment issues, I can remember a short while back when voters regarded jobs & the economy as the most important national issue.
Ted Cruz said it was the defining issue of this election
If I have anything to do with it it’ll be “president” Cruz.
I will definitely support that.
It is. Hopefully we’ll have a choice between secure and open border candidates.
What the hell does “standing tough on immigration” mean? I don’t want them fighting IMMIGRATION! I want them to stop the frickin’ INVASION of illegal alien freeloaders. Including the “unaccompanied kids” who need their asses spanked and sent home to their parents!
Very important information because it VALIDATES what we Freepers have been saying all along.
BTTT!

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reformLatinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers...[Posted on 04/21/2013 1:52:42 PM PDT by SoConPubbie]
[but he's not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]
