There is 'No Mention of Jesus In History', Claims Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan

The prime minister of Pakistan, a tenuous U.S. ally, contends Jesus was not a historical figure, reports Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The Middle East Media Research Institute reported Prime Minister Imran Kahn made the assertion in a speech on the day marked as the birthday of Muhammad.

Khan also lobbied for a worldwide law that would protect Islam from any criticism.

The prime minister said there is little mention of prophets of Allah other than Muhammad, and there is “no mention of Jesus in history.”

“Moses is mentioned, but there is no mention of Jesus in history,” he said. “But the entire life of Muhammad, who was Allah’s last prophet, is part of history.”

Khan said the West should understand Muslims’ love for Muhammad and that freedom of speech is not a legitimate reason to criticize somebody’s religion, according to MEMRI.

The comments came as he confirmed his government “is spearheading efforts to get countries to sign onto the “International Convention on Preventing the Defamation of Religions.”

That document states “freedom of speech is an insufficient pretext for hurting the world’s Muslims,” MEMRI said.

Khan claimed that Islam is the foundation of Western civilization.

“Today’s [great] civilization, the West, learned from the Muslims in Spain. They started reading. Aristotle and Greek philosophies reached Europe through Muslims, and then European civilization rose,” he claimed.

“Every few years, in some Western country, our dear prophet is blasphemed against and dishonored. What is the consequence of this? Muslims become angry. We take to the streets in protest, [protesters] break things in our country. But what does it achieve? It enables the enemies of Muslims to tell people in the West: ‘See, Islam is a big religion that spreads violence.’ They get an opportunity to spread propaganda against Islam.”

Mohammad was not a prophet. He was a robber, murderer and all around vile person.

The unlikely thing, historically and Biblically, is that a woman was the first witness to the ‘resurrection’, which lends credence to the testimonies of others.

Does not make his writing invalid. Romans were not in the habit of writing about Jewish anything unless it was pertinent to the Roman establishment and caused issue in Rome. Christians were the scapegoat of Nero and Tacitus gave the history of how they derived the name of their sect.

And even appears as a figure in the Koran itself, though with a Muslim angle.

A study of the bible (both testaments) also outlines the preincarnate Christ. The theology isn’t terribly complicated.

And so Pakistan’s prime minister is a hard core skeptic. He is one of millions. Let us pray God to prove to him that Christ is real before he leaves the earth.

She was the one who had poured an entire alabaster box of costly perfumed ointment on His feet. What a love present He gave her back when He returned triumphant from the dead. She saw Him first.

So Trump says the PM gotta go and force new elections and bring in Benazir Bhutto’s son.
Khan has been hit by one too many cricket bats... he’s also a sexcapader and is only enough of a mozzie to ensure he meets mo in hell.

This is actually a strange thing for a Muslim to say, because in Islam, Jesus is regarded as a great prophet and a precursor to Mohammed. Islam denies Jesus' divinity, but certainly not his existence.

Good point. He has just denied the accuracy and inerrancy of the Koran. I think this should be widely publicized back home.

Mohammed’s life reads like a rap sheet.
Mohammed has quite the criminal record.

The life of Jesus is part of a Good Book.
Jesus lived a good life.
Jesus did good works and not criminal offenses
such as murder, rape, thievery, hatred & cruel domination
over others, ....

I read a book about Islam and the author basically said the poetry, philosophy etc during the golden age of Islam was in spite of Islam , not becaus of it. The author then listed verses from the Koran that condemned music, poetry philosophy etc. The differance between Islam and. Christianity was that Christian intellectuals said all things point to God so there can be no divergence between God and creation, as I understand it. Islam said God is free to act as he will so any observations of his creation can arbitrarily be changed by God so there is no use studying creation. From the pinnacle of greatness Islam achieved it side to the bottom of the mountain. So the west owes a debt to Islam for underpinning western civilization, Islam owes a debt to the west for knowledge since then.

You ar right, the works weren't lost, they were just forgotten and ignored. Christianity of the first millenium did not look to the works of pagans for philosophical guidance. It wasn't until the 13th century that Aristotle suddenly took center stage.

One cannot discuss this re-emergence and dominance of Aristotle on medieval thought without referring to Thomas Aquinas. He was they key figure in translating the ideas of Aristotle into a Christian framework, which in turn drove the scholastic and liturgical direction of Christendom for centuries to come. And one cannot discuss Aquinas' work on Aristotle without discussing Averroes, Islamic scholar in Andalusia (southern Spain) who was Aquinas' counterpart as Aristotelian scholar from an Islamic perspective. For it was Averroes' commentaries on Aristotle that sparked the extreme Christian interest in Aristotle.

Aquinas' teacher, Saint Albert the Great, was the first western thinker to comment on the full catalog of Aristotle's work. He commented on Averroes commentaries on Aristotle (negatively) as part of that. As such, he introduced study of Aristotle back into western Christendom (and to Aquinas in particular) and linked it to Averroes.

But Aquinas himself dedicated a lot of time interpreting and critiquing Averroes' work and those criticisms formed a central part his own thinking of how Aristotle aligned with Christianity. Note: Aquinas didn't agree with a lot of Averroes stuff, but in formulating his reasoning for why it was wrong, he worked out what he thought was correct. And that's what he went forward with. Medieval Christian philosophy isn't driven by Averroes ideas, it was simply ignited by them.

It's nice to imagine that the Byzantine Christians drove western Christian philosophy, but that thread runs from Aristotle to Averroes to Aquinas.

Spot on. Islam is willfully ignorant of the world because they cannot claim to "know" anything that isn't revealed by Allah. And anything not explicitly in the Quran is hence not worth knowing. And that is why they failed to emerge from their warlike and wandering ways for a thousand years until oil made them wealthy enough to afford Ferrari's and rockets made by other people who aren't so militantly ignorant.

I can’t recall which Suras, but Mary and Jesus are mentioned a few times.

Then again, you have 3000 years of prophecy and 2000 years of most of that prophecy coming true.

Maybe the Paki doesn’t read much?

The Bible,....Torah, wasn't written as a religious book, but a history book. Moses wrote it down in the wilderness speaking directly to God in the Tabernacle. Before that it was orally communicated from father to son, but Jesus first appeared in Genesis 3 where God spoke of Him as the "Seed of the woman". Religion is someone trying to cover their own sins, such as Adam covering himself in fig leaves. Religion is NOT a relationship.

The Bible is a historical account of God's people and is accurate. God showed Jesus was coming as God provided the sacrificial lamb to Isaac, as the Ark took in God's family in the Flood, He showed He was the only way to heaven when Nimrod's tower in Babel was stopped. In almost every verse and certainly every chapter of the Bible we can see Jesus and His life and sacrifice. Moses was a picture of Jesus giving deliverance to His people. Jesus Is in every prophesy in Scripture. He is the meaning of every Feast Day of the Jews from Passover to Tabernacles. We will see Him come back to Earth in the Last Days to deliver His nation from the pagan church of Babel. Jesus is the central figure in all of History and most written about single person in history. If you think in terms of religion, you will miss most of what God has been saying since the Garden of Eden. Jesus is a real person that came to save His people and will come again to punish those that don't believe he is the Lamb of God. He came as a sacrificial Lamb 2000 years ago, but His next appearance will be as the Lion of Judah to rule with an iron rod.

There is more proof that Jesus has come and is coming back than there was of Moses, Noah, David, and many others. Mohamed is no different than Nimrod, Esau, Nebuchadnezzar, Herod, and dozens of others that tried to stop "The Seed of the Woman". Jesus said "The spirit of Antichrist was already in the world", while He was still on the earth. Mohamed is just one more.

For me, the most convincing fact that Jesus is real is that He was written about from Genesis to this day, and fulfilled each and every prophesy about Him to the letter. America is less than 300 years old, yet most of us cannot account for anything beyond a few years. God's Spirit wrote down the History of the world from the time the universe was created and tells the story to the last cinder is burned. In Leviticus 23 God has told us there would be a Lamb that would die to save God's people. That He would be sinless, or unleavened, that He would rise from the ground on First Fruits, That the church would be born of Pentecost. All those things happened EXACTLY on time on the predicted days even to the very hour. having a track record like that, should we believe that we will be raptured to be with Him on Trumpets and Judgement Day will come 7 years later on Atonement as we are celebrating His marriage and crowning as King of Kings? Right after the Day of Atonement, He will take David's throne in Jerusalem to rule and reign for 1000 years. after 1000 years the earth will burn and there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and we will live with Him forever.

If you can't believe that, then Jesus didn't come 2000 years ago and mount a cross to shed His own blood for the sins of His people and rise from the grave 3 days later. All I know is there are historical facts that show the miracles stopped in the Temple and Josephus recounted that fact in his writings, The Temple was destroyed in 70AD, just as predicted, and the people were dispersed and then those dry bones were made alive again in 1948 in one day, just as predicted. These predictions were made literally thousands of years before the fact, not 270 like the history of the US. We are already losing our history as statues are pulled down, and books are rewritten making hero's into villains. The Bible is already more accurate than history books today. Fully half the country has forgotten already that communism doesn't work, capitalism is the only successful economic system, Our Founders were devout Christians, Lincoln was a Republican that freed the slaves and George Wallace was a Democrat that stood in the school house door. The first few black congressmen were all Republicans and socialists murdered over 200 million people in the 20th century. Hardly anyone knows "NAZI" stands for "National Socialist Workers Party", yet conservatives somehow get the blame. Che lined up thousands of people against walls to execute them, yet young people wear T shirts with his face on it. People believe guns cause crimes, they believe letting 3rd world countries into our country will make our country better. They believe a dead baby is just tissue and having rectal sex is the right way and cannot be the source of hundreds of diseases.

A guy saying there is no proof of Jesus is just another moron that will die and burn because he can't comprehend that the world will lie to him. Yet Jesus will keep proving Himself to allow people time to repent and be saved. Even as the Seals are opened, the Trumpets blown, and the bowls poured out, if you look closely, Jesus will pause periodically to give the people time to reflect and repent on their disbelief. After 9-11, we all went to church for a couple of months, but after a while, we all went back to our disbelief and won't see that we will be persecuted even worse next time. We have been given time to repent again, as in 2 Chron 7:14, but as we can see, the country and world are several times worse than even 2001. Jesus Himself warned that the world will be as it was in the days of Noah and Lot when He comes back. Most of us can now figure out what the days of Lot were like, but have no idea about the days of Noah. Read Gen 6:1 and see that the demonic fallen angels corrupted the image of God producing Nephilim and Chimera's. God sent the Flood to kill them all. These giant's DNA was carried by the wife of Ham and resulted in Nimrod, the first Giant after the Flood. He was a hunter,... a hunter of men. The sons of Anack, the Amorites, and Og the king of Bashan, the Raphaim, and others, all came from this line. Today we see "science" editing DNA to create things that are NOT from God's image.

The time is short people. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord and He is very real. Mohamed is dead, Jesus lives.

C.S. Lewis said as much. The testimony of women was legally not admissible under Jewish law. The gospels read like reporting not myth.
