She was the one who had poured an entire alabaster box of costly perfumed ointment on His feet. What a love present He gave her back when He returned triumphant from the dead. She saw Him first.

C.S. Lewis said as much. The testimony of women was legally not admissible under Jewish law. The gospels read like reporting not myth.
