My mother knew her grandfather from Holland. She remembers that he forbade the speaking of Dutch, because that was the “old way!” And the old way was bad! That was not so long ago.

Thank you for the link. I enjoyed reading the comments which seemed to be positive. One in particular stated that it is typical behavior to kiss a priest’s hand, but not for the priest to kiss a leader’s hand. The poster indicated its significance was to convey the message that Putin was recognized as the Leader of the country (paraphrased).
No but a quick Google search will give you many links to his "past" thuggish behavior. Strange how anyone could struggle with that. Do you feel Putin is a good man?
A few years ago, that video was all over the net. People were outraged at the site of that man kissing Putin's hand while others claimed it was all for show, that Putin is using the church. Kind of like when he takes off his shirt to show off his muscles.
On September 10th, 2001, the Russian jets locked on to civilian aircraft off the coast of Alaska. My brother worked at the air traffic control tower in Anchorage at that time. He said the Russian military were not only locking onto the civilian aircraft but were also flying so close that they could have caused an accident. Pilots, the controllers, and others were terrified and my brother had thought that if America was not at war the next day, it would be a miracle. After 9/11, little was said about this "incident". Russia did not attempt another provocative act under Bush, at least that I know of. But once Obama came into power, Russia started back up again.
Listen. You made the claim, and I asked you for documentation. The video link you gave did not do that.

Not some of the Huguenots; as I understand it were originally French speaking Swiss who did go to Holland first but then came to the States. We have very little information as to motives for the second move. Everything has been lost in assimilation. My parents did not care to dwell on the past. OK with me!
you are worried about putin right now? Are you kidding? You’ve got to be kidding. I know this is a joke. I don’t believe he’s Christian for a second but I know he wants the country to believe in Christianity and get married and have plenty of kids.
If he's not a Christian, why would he want his country to believe in it? That makes no sense.
Putin will pay Christians lip service as long as he needs their support.
