(From Patrick Archbold) Another lesson is that Catholics just don't care in the slightest about the persecution initiated by this President and about the unborn. Every indication is that Catholics have granted an imprimatur for their own oppression. The reasons for this are a topic for another post....I am buying beer, bullets, and a bus ticket to Texas and maybe somebody someday will pick the good fight.
To those in the Catholic Church who voted conservative, and to the bishops who exhorted Catholics to do so, thank you.
No, I haven't done the math; but I expect Alex Murphy will do so for us all, by and by. (Please include charts, graphs, statistics and clickable headlines, bro.)
What it proves that some people --- an electrorally critical percentage of people --- vote by their skin color and their zip code, more than by the plain Christian Doctrines of their own churches.
That's true across denominational lines. To our sorrow.
“Hypothetically, it is comparable to a situation in which over half the Catholics living in a nation embraced unholy paganism, while continuing to call themselves Catholic.”
Actually, I don't think that's hypothetical or comparable. No non-pagan, no one who holds to Judeo-Christian morality in any way, shape or form, could vote for a monster that doesn't even think born children should be protected in law.
Over half of Catholics in America are pagans.
Including many priests and most of the bishops.

These people are delusional!!!!! They certainly are not listening to God's word. Obama is more like the anti-Christ than like Jesus and should not be congratulated for anything he accomplishes. The Holy See has sunk to new lows in my eyes.
Besides, the story wasn’t about Catholics staying home, it was about over half of them voting for Obama. So look for another reason they didn’t support Romney. Likely the social justice crowd, and the ones who identify as catholic but never attend mass.
Those people would never have voted for an Akin or Mourdoch clone. And the other half voted as good Christians for the better choice than the marxist muslim baby killer.

**We will continue to stand in defense of life, marriage, and our first, most cherished liberty, religious freedom.
Please, God, your vote is not counted. Help to turn the Catholics back to the basics of their faith.
One might be tempted to do that until one realizes that it is the Church's job to (try to) save souls. Not to abandon the souls to the devil. But certain bishops are not suitable for their positions and should be excluded from clergy, yes.
Pro aborts are CINOs — not REAL Catholics.
There is a big difference.
Yup. Am currently doing a Bible study of Revelation - scary. At the same time, however, I’m at peace because I have a close and personal relationship with my Savior.
He should have been MUCH stronger with his words on the Democrat stances on abortion, homosexuality, and assaults on religious freedom.
But I suspect the Cardinal is too respectful of Obama's positions on immigration and social justice to make such a strong statement. Very disappointing.
Catholics aren’t delusional.
Read your Bible about wishing evil on someone. It will only come back to you.
Who knew?
I wonder, Dr Kopp, how many actual Catholics remain in America. From the voting indications, it appears cinos are the majority now.
That was my experience too. When I tried to talk to them about what Obama is doing to our church. They got mad, said it wasn't true and it was just a big lie concocted by the bishops and the K of C to subjugate women and cover up for child sex abuse.
These were active participants in the church--in the choir, teaching C.C.D., etc.
It was then I realized how bad things were.
It is about getting the gospel of the grace of God out while there is still time. 2 Cor, Chapters 5,6.
With a heavy heart — I extend my thanks.
I went to a Bible study last night and wholly expected to come home and find Romney winning. When I saw a headline on my browser that it was Obama, my heart just fell.
Lord have mercy on us.
There is one vote that isn’t counted — and someone posted an email on it last night.
God’s vote isn’t counted, and I think we will see some very interesting things happen among the believers in God now. (And it will be along the lines of rebellion against Obama in my estimation.
Something else that needs to be checked on, please, cause you’re the guy to do it. How many of those who voted for Obama — not just Catholics — were on welfare of some kind? Food stamps? Free meals for kids at school, etc.?
Is there a complete list state by state breakdown of the exit polling? I mean how useful is a national number when we vote by state and the electoral college? For example, Romney won the Catholic vote in Ohio by 9 points, last time Mclame won it by only 5.
