Eau contrare'....there is a chance that the real conservative Mitt may be unleashed within a conservative environment. He is a straight laced Mormom, after all. He's a chameleon, which is why many are/were worried, but that could play much better nationwide.

Ignore his record while in one of the most liberal states in the US. Do you really think he's a liberal deep down ? I think the opposite.

The only message Mitt is hearing is that many Republicans would vote for Satan over Obama. He knows he can be as liberal as he thinks he has to be because ABO’ers have absolved him of any bows to conservatism.

This is precisely why we Constitutionalists have to get behind Romney in a very vocal way. He will bend with the wind! We must make sure the wind is blowing in the correct direction!

So, you’re saying we should vote for Obama then?

So that must mean... that the re-election of Obama is good for America!

I don’t know what some here are smoking, but I’ll take the lesser of the two evils.

Yes I know both suck... but Romney is not a friggin communist.

“Not voting is voting for Obama”

One of the most factually inaccurate things I have seen by FReepers. Only votes actually cast will be counted.

Shall I repeat that?

THEY DO NOT COUNT VOTES THAT WERE NOT CAST.

To vote for Romney is to put your signature on the death certificate that records the Suicide of America.

I guess America is finished then because America won't survive another 4 years of Obama

In this culture the secular left has created an atmosphere in which the mind has become vulnerable to distraction in a nearly uncountable number of ways.

People need to be reminded therefore, that the central core of everything that is important for the survival of America is contained in these two words, DIVINE PROVIDENCE.

An election is not a football game. The direction of the nation is set thereby.

ROMNEY equals OBAMA.

While it is my conviction that Romney, being an empty suit, has no chance of winning anyway, for the sake of discussion, if he would win, at the end of his term, the nation would have continued to fall down the slope in the direction of self destruction. Why? Because the election of Romney will not change the Divine Providence equation. He is as much a rebel against God at heart, as Obama. Again, belief in homosexual rights emanates from a heart that is in rebellion against the Laws of God. And when people vote rebellion, God turns off the spigot of his blessings.

Look around you. The economy is in the worst situation since the great depression. The economies of europe are teetering on the brink. The people of greece and france just gave the big finger to any bailouts. That means default. And that means, things will be getting worse. The slide downward will continue until the nation repairs its relationship with God.

What is the alternative? Pray everyday with your whole heart for an alternative to step forward. I will pray for the resurrection of the Newt Gingrich campaign specifically.

Even on the level of pliability those two would fail

So many Obama fans, I can hardly stomach coming here. Lesser of two evils is apparently a bridge to far for FR. We would rather have obama. Forward.

Obama just announced he is officially FOR Gay Marriage.

Mitt Romney just re-affirmed that he opposes Gay Marriage, and civil unions.

Obama overrode “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” by executive fiat. I believe Romney has said he won’t try to change it back, so that’s a problem.

But since one of these two men are going to be the next President, if you care about the advance of homosexuality as a government-sanctioned activity, Romney’s public pronouncements make him a much better candidate than Obama.

More importantly, on a day when the Democratic Party has officially proclaimed Gay Marriage as the most important issue in the fall election, and on the same day that Mitt Romney has publicly and prominently staked out the OPPOSITE opinion on the matter, I think it is a bad strategy to ATTACK Mitt Romney on the gay issue.

Such attacks will weaken our argument against the Democrat’s gay marriage stance, and if anything would push Romney away from the conservative position. Because if Romney is attacked from the right on the day he proclaims the “right” position on Gay marriage, he might decide it’s better not to be so public about it.
