The border patrol can't keep them out of the country, but they CAN arrest americans who try to do the border patrol's job of keeping illegals out of the country.

The border patrol can't make the illegals pick up their trash.

The border patrol can't find their own butts with a flashlight in one hand and a GPS in the other.

Why are we paying the border patrol?

why bother with the bill? you know damned well they'd just jack up the taxes to pay it, and end up collecting 300 billion in revenue to pay us only 50 billion in refunds (the other fifty to be "lost" in administrative costs, y'see).

It is the same deal in the Metro Atlanta area, or was when I moved out. And, yes: it WAS one of the main reasons I left Atlanta. When you have to march illegals at gunpoint to a dumpster when you catch them throwing their garbage into YOUR pickup truck, it is time to leave or you'll do something rather... noteworthy.

I have a pickup to and can relate.

The drivers used to come into my office and disparage me to others in tex-mex, they really could not speak spanish. I let it go for a few weeks and then fired one of them in true spanish. Stopped that crap. They did not realize that there is alot of spanish in Houston and I lived in Corpus Christi for three years. Try to screw with the DOG and you might get bit.

I do not speak Spanish.
I had my brother, who does, translate some choice statements for me to use at the appropriate time.
I don't remember any of 'em, sadly. Been a few years since I needed any of 'em, happily.
All I remember is something like: (if you do not turn off that damned mariachi crap right now) [something like]: muerte todo puta familia!
At the time I used it, it rolled right off my tongue so smoothly, castillian lisp and all.

I still do, and your line #4 is pretty harsh. Not uncalled for, but harsh!

However, one must go with what works!!!

when a group of ten illegals illegally timesharing a single-bedroom apartment (legal occupancy limit: 1 single or one couple) beneath me repeatedly wake me at 2-3am on worknights with that never-to-be-sufficiently-DAMNED cacophanous NOISE called pop mariachi...
Am I supposed to be gentle???
This is on top of all the rest of their and their ilk's) observed behavior... the woman-beating, the trash-tossing, the endemic petty larceny, the public drunkenness, the endemic propositioning of underage girls, the whistling, the cat-calls, the vile habit of urinating/defecating over the balconies into public space used by all tenants including children.
I am a very easy-going, tolerant man.
I do, however, have my limits.

that line, by the way, was uttered over the levelled barrel of a Calico M950 carbine, and was uttered in all sincerity

You did what was required for the situation.

Praise to you for taking care of bidness.

I have only drawn my sidearm to prevent a crime twice. As you know, it is less fun than it appears.

waaaaay less fun.
no fun, at all.
as you and I (and everybody on the *bang_list) know full well, firearms are a highly restrictive responsibility.

I can NOT stress it enough: a firearm is NOT a magic wand the waving of which will automatically make trouble go "boink" and disappear... It is a last resort and if you decide to use it you must be absolutely ready to follow through to the total bloody end.
At the point I described earlier: it was the last resort, I most certainly was ready to follow through to the hilt, it showed, they knew it, they shut their (expletive) off immediately, and they skipped out on their rent the very next day.
Only to be replaced, less than a month later, by another set of illegals who were almost as bad.
*sigh*
Like I said earlier, I'd hate to live on the border.

Re #19.
Well, it is not exactly simply a "phrase".
I have no idea of your age, but if you are under 40, it is possible you assume calling the authorities to deal with a problem will "solve" the problem.

for example:
50 years ago, few people were jailed for spousal or child abuse.Doesnt mean it did not happen, just means they were not charged and jailed for it.
50 years ago, people were robbed or burglarised.
50 years ago, con artists plied their trade.
50 years ago, multiple murders by maniacs occurred.
Communities still had to deal with these crimes. They dealt with them, as best they could.
Of course, there were not so many laws and lawyers around back then, and laws were tied very closely to justice.
Now that Law, Truth, and Justice are formerly declared as completely separate issues in the courtroom, one might expect to see a resurgence of SSS.

We are gutless when it comes to these parasitic border jumpers.

We = Israel, right? You've shown your disdain for Americans.

maybe the citizen militias on the border ought to collect a lot of that rubbish, put it in a truck, haul it to DC, and dump it out on the Capitol Bldg's front steps.

Why bother, they would just be cited, fined or arrested and jailed.

It's frustrating to think that nobody in power cares. I wonder what would happen if this garbage was being dumped in Texas, South Dakota, or Tennessee.

I say truck some of it in to Bush's Crawford Ranch's gate and leave him a good sample.

Great. More proposed illegal activity because you're mad about illegal activity.
Why are all you border jockeys so hypocritical?

ah, but at least they'd have forced the major media to notice the border trouble.
Is that worth the (very accurately predicted) government hassle?
I cannot decide this for them - in their shoes I'd probably already be on death-row for mass-murder.
As I said - BOY! Am I glad I don't live on the border.
My sympathies fo out to those stalwarts who do.

Unbelievable - it's hard to believe the insanity of it all. There are actually groups in my area that go out and place water and pick up garbage left behind by the illegal crossers.

It is more a matter of moving the results of bad policy decisions to the doorstep of the bad-policy maker.
That used to be called "justice" in this country.
