If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious
and this is her reply
A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years
but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

I was congratulating Logan on his 6 month birthday when I saw your prayer request. I was just reading something from Dr. Whitaker of the Whitaker Wellness Center in Newport Beach, CA and he claims to have a diet that will rid people of high blood pressure. He is pretty reputable as one of the nation's top doctors who works with nutrition and supplements so I thought if you could somehow find out what that diet is, maybe it would help your son. Dr. Whitaker (sp?) does have a newsletter but I forget what it is called. Of course, it has been a while since your request so hopefully prayers have made this all moot. Bless you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!! Don't let Puppy eat all your cake!
To: Yaelle
Thank you, Yaelle. Actually, before I even read this post I got a freepmail with the address for Dr. Whitaker's clinic. I was a little puzzled why someone was sending this to me! My son does still need prayers. The doctor also put him on Zocor for lowering cholesterol and triglycerides. I'm really concerned that someone as young as him (just turned 28) should be on this kind of medication. However...I have also been reading that there are multiple side effects being seen in people who have taken Accutane. He took this as a teenager and has many of the adverse reactions they list, including cardiovascular problems. I think he needs detoxifying from the Accutane...we have been searching in that direction. So, Dr. Whitaker may hold the answer. Thank you.

Guess who's 6 months old today :) Of course, the doctor says I only have an "adjusted" age of almost 3 months... Happy happy birthday, little Logan.
Please send the name of your doc. I'd like my age "adjusted" to about.......26!

Please put me back on the ping list, too.
Gramma and Uncle Tonk and the Cowboy (in that great hat) are sharing pinging duties, right? [Don't worry if we somehow get left out sometimes. Last I remember the Cowboy was on his laptap and didn't have the list with him. When we get twitchy for Termite Talk we can go searching for the latest.]

Hi everyone.....
Well, it's been quite a while since I sent an update mainly because everything has been status quo for a long time...... BUT things have changed!!
Logan now weighs 11 lbs. 8 oz. and is 22 1/2 inches tall :) He's cooing and trying to suck his thumb (he no longer likes his "suckie").. and it's always his left hand that he does it with so we're pretty sure the little guy is a lefty!! He talks all the time .... in fact, I call him "JJ Troublemaker"... JJ is short for Jabber Jaws! LOL What a delightful little baby he is! And he's a tummy giggler. When he starts to laugh, you can see and feel it coming from way down deep inside his tummy.
I've now been taking care of him for a full month while Beth works and believe me, I never knew anything so little could make me that tired. But it's a wonderful tired and when I see him first thing in the morning and those little blue eyes are dancing and smiling.... it's well worth the effort. Beth is adjusting to being back at work and tries to come in at lunch as often as she can. She can't stand being away from him and of course, he loves seeing his Mommy. Bud comes home early often and gives me a chance to leave a little earlier in the afternoon. So it's all working out well.... and the most important thing is that Logan is being well cared for in his own home until he gets older.
THE BIG NEWS......... as of yesterday, Jan. 30, 2004....... Logan is no longer on the canula!!! NO MORE o2 and no more of that darn thing irritating his little nose :) Thank God...... thank all of you have prayed with us and for us for this day to at last come!! He's been on and off of it for about 2 weeks but yesterday the doctor officially took him off of it. No more sleeping with it..... no more being hooked and can't go further than 5 feet from the machine!!! And the best part of it all..... it means that his little lungs have developed enough to support him and sustain him.
It was a year ago in Feb. that we found out Beth was pregnant. Never in our dreams did we imagine a baby for her..... let alone, this precious infant. What a world it has become with Logan in it! ALL babies are precious.... all babies are a gift from God....... but Logan has taught us all once again what it is to love life, to cherish the moment and to get on our knees and thank God for His blessings.
I'm attaching a picture for all of you to see .... he was getting ready to go for a stroll around the neighborhood. He loves being taken outside and as evidenced by the sunglasses, he doesn't care what you do with him!
Again.... to all of you.... without your prayers, we could have never made it. Logan, Beth, Bud... our entire family thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God bless you all.......
