Colorado Democrats Pushing 11% Excise Firearms Tax, Other California Gun Controls
Breitbart ^ | 04/01/2024 | Awr Hawkins

Colorado Democrats are pushing an 11 percent excise tax on gun and ammunition sales, as well as numerous other California-style gun controls.

There is a public hearing on the excise tax proposal today, and Colorado Springs firearms instructor Ana Flanell is urging the public to rally against the tax.

On Easter Sunday she posted to X: “Join me at the Capitol tomorrow to testify against this “sin” tax. Self-defense is our right and we should not be taxed an outrageous 11% to exercise our Second Amendment rights. I’ve included a screenshot below of what to select when signing up. Let’s fight this Colorado!!!”

The power to tax == power to deny.

“Oddly”, no (R) counters w/ an ‘excise tax’ on voting, just to point out the hypocrisy/duplicity

How stupid. Don’t the legislators in CO realize that purchase options exist outside the state? The predicted outcome: Mom and Pop stores selling guns and ammo disappear. Knowing the Democrats, that’s probably the goal, but I seriously doubt that it will restrict gun and ammo sales to CO residents in any measurable way.

Native Coloradoans needs to get off their asses and make their state a Gun Sanctuary state. All guns should be welcome there and also be allowed to bring their owners with them.

Ana is terribly wrong. In a Marxist state self defense is not a right. That right is reserved solely for the state.

In summary, Colorado Democrats who lack intelligence or creativity. They therefore have to rely on California DemocRATs, arguably the most corrupt and least intelligent beings in the multiverse for any ideas. Thankfully, Colorado residents have sufficient supplies of all materials needed for the thousands of guillotines they’ll need when they finally decide to practice mass-dorkacide.

These morons think this will reduce crime? Oh yeah - especially when law-abiding citizens are not the ones committing crimes.

Spent almost a year there 1969-1970. Fort Carson. Beautiful state. Great people. That was then, this is now.

"Colorado Democrats Pushing 11% Excise Firearms Tax, Other California Gun Controls"

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Anti-2nd Amendment (2A) California and Colorado State Democrats and RINOs aren't the main problem with restrictive state gun policies imo, the Colorado excise firearms tax in this example. The corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties that have pirated control of the federal government are the main problem concerning state abridgment of constitutionally enumerated protections imo.

More specifically, worthless Congress is not doing its 14th Amendment (14A) duty to make penal laws that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections, 2A in this example.

Excerpted from 14A:

Regarding Section 1 above, note that the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, the main author of that section, had included 2A when he read the Bill of Rights as main examples of privileges and immunities that 14A applies to the states.

“See 2nd Amendment (Article II) about middle of 2nd column.” — John Bingham, Appendix to the Congressional Globe

The remedy for renegade state and federal governments oppressing the people with unconstitutional restrictive gun laws ...

Democratic and Republican Trump supporters need to IMMEDIATELY primary ALL incumbent state and federal lawmakers since they aren't doing their jobs to protect constitutionally enumerated protections. Patriots then need to support hopeful Trump 47 with a new patriot Congress in November that will actually do its duty to make 14A-based penal laws that discourage state actors from abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.

Patriots, the post-17th Amendment ratification Congress that you elected is not your friend.

Colorado is one of the prettiest states we have. And it used to be such a good place to live, too. Now that the Californicators have taken it over, forget it! It is a lost cause

A way needs to be found to prevent the communist Californicators from taking over smaller states. Oregon, another really beautiful place which was always a great place to live, used to have big billboard signs just north of its Calif border, to greet people entering Oregon. The signs said, simply: “Please Don’t Californicate Oregon!”
Regrettably, signs have proven insufficient to the cause and Oregon has become a leftist cesspool Colorado. Same happened to Washington state and ....

We need to find a way to prevent this damage to the rest of the country.

Colorado was on my short list in 1999. The lefty insanity deleted it. Idaho won the evaluation. Spending a few weeks in the Denver area in 2000 convinced me it was a bad idea. Like CA, CO has beautiful landscapes. The problem isn't the geography. It's the leftist infestation.

This is what happens when you allow open borders. We should never have let Californians in. Legal immigration for FReepers would have been okay though.
