The IRS is just a bunch of overpriced paper pushers.
Who would want to work for them?
Second problem is that IRS management has no idea as to how to address the situation.
LOL. The IRS can’t find enough diversity hires that can also speak somewhat coherent English, read, and do math (or at least use a calculator).
10% flat tax. No deductions.
Corporate and personal income taxes could be reported on a postcard.
Less government corruption. Cut the IRS by 95%
Is there an age limit? I know accounting. I want a badge and a gun. How much do they pay? How many years do I have to work before I can get retirement benefits?
9-9-9. It’s not just for pizza anymore.
I tease, but I sort of agree with you. Just simplify the tax code. The postcard idea. Though I could argue in principle that no wage earner should pay income taxes, as a compromise I think if you make say $70k or less ($140k for a family) you should pay zero income tax. It is human nature to work to provide for your family. This is in our DNA going back to Stone Age cave dwelling hunter gatherers. We always had to work, it’s just changed to where instead of hunting and picking fruits we trade our labor for cash to buy meat and vegetables. We should not be taxed for earning wages that pay for food and shelter. We should not be taxed for necessities and doing what we are naturally inspired to do. And index that number to inflation.
Other economic activity, we can debate whether it can be taxed and how much, but for regular people doing regular work to feed themselves and their clan - it should not be taxed; or at least not taxed below an amount that covers food, shelter, medical care, transportation and other basic human needs. It’s absolutely insidious to tax our human nature.
Who wants to be the shake down man for the looters? The one responsible for getting the salary of bureaucrats who harass us? Who wants to work for evil?
great news.
And they gaslit everyone by saying those many thousands of new IRS hires didn’t exist.
“That’s not in there, that’s anon conspiracy talk!”
Too many straight white men applying.
Not enough LGBT people of color with the required math, financial, and accounting skills.
It's only complicated because they intentionally designed it that way. The whole process of collecting taxes could be simplified and expedited and we could element the tax burden of thousands in the government sector. A win win.
Er...Eliminate the tax burden of thousands in the government sector.
I’d rather shovel chicken chit with a spoon than work for the gooberment. I have some standards.
The IRS checks the tax records of anyone who applies to work for them. Just a word to the wise...
No problem!
Biden will simply announce that he has a pool of 60,000,000 migrant invader vermin (MIVs) from which the IRS can find ample qualified candidates...
Golly, “it’s also possible that there may be something of a stigma attached to working for the IRS in the current era.” Who could imagine that working for a notoriously nasty and thuggish agency of the federal government might carry a stigma?
Like the Military and Police Departments the likes of Nashville’s the requirements will be neutered to meet their woke DEI agenda. The IRS’s future qualifications for employment will consist of the following question. 1. “Have you ever filed a 1040ez form with TurboTax software? If yes, hired!
They lie.
Where do you think those tech lay offs went?
But cpas and many government workers would lose their jobs
