Exactly. That’s why I mentioned the qualifier of recognition and acceptance. Texas had both; those others didn’t (with the possible exception of Hawaii).

If the 1860’s happened now, the Federal Government could do nothing. Imagine the outrage at the destruction live streamed around the world, let alone the country. The US govt is a paper tiger. The situation has much in common with Rome just before it was overrun by Vandals...or Immigrants..same thing.

There is no historical precedent for what happens if the Democrats fail to turn over power in 2024 and/or subvert the elected President.
Look to Ukraine for clues to what might happen and who might need to get involved to secure the people’s natural right to self determination.
