Ukraine has used U.S.-made cluster-bomb-tipped rockets from the ATACMS system for the first time, it is claimed, with the weapon said to have taken out nine Russian helicopters while they were still on the ground.
Ukraine claims to have taken out nine helicopters and associated support equipment on the ground in a series of coordinated strikes against Russian-occupied airfields overnight. Per a statement from the Ukrainian government the strikes in the early hours of Tuesday morning were against airfields in Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine including Berdiansk and Luhansk and as well as the nine military helicopters Ukraine says ammunition stores and an “air defence” system were also destroyed.

The idea behind giving them weapons was that they would be defensive in nature.
Thousands of missiles and millions of rounds of ammo wasted on a failed, misguided proxy war in Ukraine that could have been given to Israel. That is the ones that aren’t cluster munitions that Israel wouldn’t use because they are violation of international law.

Putin is in China now. This is not being widely reported here but AP is saying that it “underscores China’s support for Moscow during its war in Ukraine”.
The warmongering idiots in DC are going to escalate far enough that the Russians will begin taking out NATO helicopters on the ground in Poland. It is a very bad time to be making these escalations while they are trying to figure out how to support Israel. Eventually the Russians will commit what they need to to end this. The US will be and is in no position to respond.

Day 601 of my 3 day war. In response to Ukraine using ATACMS to destroy many of my helicopters, I will “escalate” by withdrawing a lot of equipment out of their range.
I remain a master strategist.

(over 600 days later, after most of of the Active Duty ground fleet of combat equipment, as well as the old Soviet gear in storage, is already destroyed).
Unlike the stories of “victory in the battlefield”, I tend to believe the stories of Ukraine causing damage when they are using long ranged missiles provided by the US.
Of course, this will not end well for Ukraine, as I doubt that Russia is going to withdraw from the areas they’ve annexed. Russia will eventually go in and take over whatever areas these missiles can be launched from.

The cash flow to the USA has been turned OFF - by the war.
I have no idea what was happening in the other 45 countries.
I do know that a negotiated settlement with Ukraine was possible for at least one year before the war started.
The main issue was the Russian majority provinces in eastern Ukraine that did not want to be part of Ukraine, which was, and still is, the poorest country in Europe.
The second issue was Russian access to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea, which is their only warm water port.
Instead of serious negotiations, at least 100,000 young men are now dead, another 100,000 are maimed or disabled for life, and it will cost $1 trillion to rebuild Ukraine.
NATO and the USA are freaking insane!
