While police and the FBI have still refused to release the manifesto of the Covenant killer, the transgender person who killed 6 people at a Christian school in Nashville, the police have indicated that they have found new evidence that the shooting was planned for an extended period of time.
According to the police, they have found journals that show that the killer had been plotting her deed for months.
Metropolitan Nashville Police have found journals in the killer's car and in her room at her parents' house that show that the mass murder event was planned months in advance.
This is in addition to evidence found by the police that showed the killer had mapped out the school, done surveillance, and drawn up particular plans for how to execute her murderous rampage.
Police have not yet established a motive, but say the shooter "considered the actions of other mass murderers.""The writings remain under careful review by the MNPD and the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit based in Quantico, Virginia," the police department said.
Authorities have said that a sense of "resentment" may have played a role in the attack that killed three adults and three 9-year-old students.
It's pretty clear the police don't want to say that the killings were politically or religiously motivated. They use the vague term "resentment" and try to obfuscate over whether or not this was a motivated attack against Christians for their faith, as many on the right have assumed.
And given the political climate, I don't expect the manifesto or the motivations documented in the journal to be released to the public anytime soon.
The FIB is trying to find a way to explain how this “leftist peace fairy” was pushed to do this because of discrimination by Republicans.
