WASHINGTON — Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas pleaded ignorance Tuesday about the existence of logs recording who has visited President Biden’s Delaware homes — stunning lawmakers who have sought the information for months.
Mayorkas, whose department includes the Secret Service, made his astounding “I don’t know” claim when Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) pressed him about a persistent lack of information following congressional requests.
“I don’t know whether the Secret Service maintains visitor logs of the president’s residence,” the DHS chief said. “But if they do and those have been requested, we will comply with the law.”
Biden regularly spends his weekends away from the White House at his Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach homes and his guests’ names are potentially relevant to GOP-led investigations of Biden’s role in his family’s foreign business dealings, as well as to special counsel Robert Hur’s criminal investigation of Biden’s handling of classified records.

Well to be fair, why would Mayorkas know this information? It is the Chief of Staff, his personal assistants, and the secret service who would have access to most of these records. Not some Cabinet official. As ridiculous a job he is doing, this is something he probably isn’t involved with.
The whole department is one massive collusion. He’s the head of it all. He knows, he just won’t say so.
He knows that if it ever comes out who visited what, he will be blamed.
This is like the Epstein trial. Probably for the same reasons, too.
Has anyone watched a congressional hearing in which a Biden administration official or nominee knew ANYTHING about the subject matter of the hearing? When watching them, I have to back up the video to make sure they really said what I thought I heard. Yep. Their response WAS that stupid.
The secret service is part of his department. He should know if there is a record of the information.
Pause the questioning while he makes a quick phone call to find out what he already knows.
If he shrugs his shoulders, the whole thing goes away...

Bongino has stated repeatedly that the S.S. maintains home visitor logs for wherever the “prez” is located— that is to say maintains background trace and documents ALL visitors. So mayorkass is talking around the answer. WH keeps logs, S.S. keeps visitor list/backgrounds on all other locations.
Can you imagine if Trump had met with people at Mar-a-lago and not kept visitor logs?
Whether he is telling the truth or not I don’t believe him.

OK, so just anyone can visit at any time right? If not, then the SS needs to do background checks to make sure you’re OK. THOSE records exist. I can’t imagine that the SS doesn’t keep records. That’s a serious stretch.

Mind boggling. Cruz deserves enormous praise for this. Nothing staged about it.
‘Logs’ are official records for a specific purpose. Saying they do not have logs is different from saying they do not have records. People keep asking the same questions, and the SS keeps playing word-games.
And Majorcas isn’t head of the Secret Service, is he?
