A clip of a histrionic Russell Brand on Real Time with Bill Maher went viral on Saturday—in which the comedian, who owns multiple multi-million-dollar homes, accused political analyst and fellow guest John Heilemann of hypocrisy for criticizing Fox News from “within the castle of MSNBC.”
In the two-minute clip, a shouting Brand maintained that MSNBC was fundamentally no different from Fox News. All this, he loudly insisted, contrasts with the “real journalism” of National Security Agency consultant-turned-Russian defector Edward Snowden and former RT host Julian Assange.
Talking over Heilemann’s attempts to answer his criticism, Brand asserted that both channels are merely “mouthpieces for their affiliate owners in Blackrock and Vanguard,” naming a pair of controversial investment firms.

I actually quite enjoy his Rumble and YouTube videos. As an actor I used to hate him. But now I have a completely different opinion of him. He’s funny as hell with good use of sarcasm. That he owns millions of dollars worth of homes is not a detriment. I highly recommend anyone to give him a watch especially on Rumble. He really is quite intelligent.

Russell Brand makes some excellent points and does it in an amusing manner. Directing young people to his videos is a good way to help them look at things differently. They think he looks “hip” and since he is an actor/stand-up comedian they will give him a listen before they will pay attention to someone else. He can have a subtle way to “red-pill” people, especially those that are younger.

Brand’s net worth is listed at $20M. While that is obviously very good, it is not nearly as much as most elite entertainers.
Brand is definitely an interesting, multi-talented guy who seems very good at re-inventing himself. Personally, I would not put too much stock in his current gig as a free-thinking libertarian. He strikes me as an opportunist who could just as easily become an Authoritarian if the right situation presented itself. But....I hope I am mistaken about that.
