How do you make America great when you lower standards for everything?

it’s just another way of dividing America - the competent and the incompetent. The latter are lazy and unwilling to work for anything. The former have to support themselves and the incompetents.

A profession with a glut of members will not only be “gluttier” the quality will be lowered!

Think of the lawyer in the movie “Idiocracy”!
Once a comedy now a future documentary.

I love how no one mentions that the democrats,in doing such things, are stating that blacks and hispanics are inferior to whites and asians. Blatant racism, that no one ever calls them out on.

“Keep lowering the bar low enough and we can have chimps practicing law.”

Algonquin J. Calhoun has been vindicated!

> the soft bigotry of low expectations <

You are correct. I taught for many years in urban high schools. Some were majority black. A good portion of the kids (black and white) had attendance and behavior problems.

But the black kids who came to class every day and paid attention did well, every bit as good as the white kids.

So the key, of course, is not to lower the passing scores. It’s to figure out ways to get more black kids to make those scores. But I guess that would take a bit of courage, and lots of work. So never mind.

“The Delaware Supreme Court lowered the passing score on the state’s bar exam amid other changes reportedly intended to increase racial diversity among the state’s lawyers”

Now I know who NOT to hire.

Why not eliminate the law all together?

“Just what everybody wants, a dumber less competent lawyer fighting for your freedoms.”

What makes this even worse is those African American lawyers who busted their a$$e$ and scored high will now be lumped in with those who are too stupid to meet the requirements.

Because of the lower standards companies no longer accept an engineering degree as a sign of competence. They either make you take a test, or they insist on a certificate from a private organization like The American Society of Quality Engineers. To get that you must take the society’s courses and tests which are very expensive, and you’ll need to pay them every year plus take continuing education every year. Whereas I was able to apply for quality jobs, management jobs and engineering jobs with one degree now you’ll need a certificate for each job type.

[[’Not supposed to be a barrier’]]

It’s not a barrier to those who want to better themselves- lowering standards only encourages laziness-

I don’t care if minority lawyers are incompetent. There is zero chance I would ever hire one.

The only jobs where the standards should be reduced are “diversity consultant,” “professor of woman’s studies,” “CRT teachers,” “gender dysphoria psychologists” where there is NO established set of competencies that defines the job.

"Not supposed to be a barrier."

LOL. The Hell it isn't. Lawyers are supposed to have a basic level of competence and understanding of the law. Most law students pass the bar exam, so the standard is low to begin with.

Ya, this will serve to make people even more weary and less likely to ignore skin color.

The bigotry of low expectations usually has that effect, it hurts those who truly earned their place!
