Yup they’re screwed they just don’t know it yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if this eventually leads to NATO and/or the European Union fracturing at some point.

Approximately 60% of the UK energy supply comes from abroad: from countries including Norway, Qatar, Sweden and the Netherlands, among many more. Around 60% of the UK’s natural gas imports come from Norway, and 30% of it comes from Qatar.

Has anyone watched Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon prime? It is kind of fascinating is Jeremy, Clarkson, from Top Gear actually runs farm.

The amount of bureaucratic hoops they put in place for farmers. It is amazing. He was giving cows and had to build a barn for them. He needed a permit to move some of the soil excavated from where he was building a barn to the other part of his property.

Take the EU to the dumpster or starve. That is the choice.

Out of control government is WAY out of control.

“Last until May.”

Two weeks to flatten the curve.

I doubt very much the rationing will stop in May.

I find it telling that the U.S. government pays millions of dollars to farmers to keep land fallow to keep from growing too much food.

Cucumbers?

I remember reading a few years ago about the unelected European Union bureaucrats. They actually mandated the proper, acceptable curvature of the EU cucumber. I knew, before reading this, that the EU was doomed. The cucumber curvature just sealed the deal.

I lived in the UK in the 70s. Beef and chicken were a bit expensive. Lamb and sheep were very economic as was fish. Vegetables of high quality were available in abundance at a fair price. Economic political environmental correctness have screwed them.

fresh fruit and veggies have a lot of fiber, nutition as well as calories....

if we don't get fresh fruit and veggies, be sure to have enough vitamin and mineral supplements at home to least see you thru til the next garden season.

When faced with such situations, Americans learned canning, pickling, dehydration, jamming, etc. Often shortages were natural in origins, instead of government caused.

Maybe you shouldn’t have allowed a petulant Swedish teenager to dictate your energy policies?

Hmmmm…. “Net zero” may be a partial villain here but the Monster Villain is clearly the RUSSIA SANCTIONS. The cost of energy and fertilizer is absolutely KILLING European farmers. Hell, who knows, maybe that is also ALL ACCORDING TO PLAN.

With man’s contribution of only 21 PPM of CO2 out of the approx. 410 PPM, net zero will never be attainable as long as the CO2 level necessary to sustain life is at 150 PPM.......

That’s where “Balance of Nature” comes in!

OMG! I’m so sick of that commercial. Watching seemingly healthy ppl whine about how hard it is to get enough fruits and vegetables every day drives me up the wall. It’s simple. You take your grocery cart and wheel it over to the “Fruits & Vegetables” section and then put stuff in your cart. It’s not rocket science, FFS!

Other than the food situation in Europe, there’s no need to buy an expensive supplement like that.
