Trump says 'the people' wouldn't 'accept' Pence as his 2024 VP
The Week ^ | 03/16/2022 | Summer Meza

Posted on 03/16/2022 1:47:31 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Former President Donald Trump is acknowledging that his not-yet-launched 2024 presidential bid would not include his former vice president.

Trump told the Washington Examiner his hypothetical run for re-election would most likely not select former Vice President Mike Pence as his running mate. "I don't think the people would accept it," Trump said, alluding to his supporters' anger with Pence for failing to support Trump's false claim he actually won the 2020 race. Trump wanted Pence to somehow overturn the election's results during the congressional certification of the Electoral College votes, notes the Examiner, but Pence explained he didn't have constitutional authority for such a move.

I would like a Trump and DeSantis ticket. Then that would set up DeSantis to run for president in 2028.

And would make Trump the first presidential candidate to run for the office three times from three different states - New York, Florida, and TBD, maybe New Jersey,

The people don’t have much of a say in the veep selection. The base does. It’s not one and the same.

Trump would simply relocate his legal residence out of Florida, to prevent these problems.

In 2000 , Dick Cheney was living in Texas, and quickly changed his voter registration to Wyoming to be Bush’s running mate.

Yeah I doubt he will do it, but wow a Trump/DeSantis ticket would drive the left absolutely nuts. I think he will wait till 2028

It’s amazing that he just doesn’t get it. He’s washed up. He’s a traitor. Please go away. Go write a book or something that attempts to damage Trump. You’re a worthless backstabber.

DeSantis needs to stop pronouncing his name DEE-SAN-tis. Too confusing. Once he makes that change, though—Bam, good to go. LOL

...for failing to support Trump's false claim he actually won the 2020 race

How did "The Week" arrive confidently at the conclusion that Trump's claim is false?

Considering the news we are hearing out of Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona, after this much time since the election, the "false", "debunked", "dis-proven" or whatever qualification they give to Trump's claim looks dumb.

Pence showed he wouldn't man up.

If not Desantis, I'd pick Kayleigh McEnany or Sarah Huckabee Sanders as they showed their mettle.

Pence is a Deep State traitor. He was given to Trump for consideration as VP to keep a watch on Trump.

Wrong.
DeSantis would negotiate important roles as VP before he agreed to join
the Ticket. Plus Trump will need an active VP.

“I would hope that TRUMP wouldn’t accept Pence as his VP.”

PDJT has made some spectacularly wretched personnel choices while in office. But to choose Pence to run with him on a 2024 ticket ... that would be over-the-moon stupid and career ending.

Trump and Keri Lake. She will win Governor and then be a great VP.
