Former President Donald Trump is acknowledging that his not-yet-launched 2024 presidential bid would not include his former vice president.
Trump told the Washington Examiner his hypothetical run for re-election would most likely not select former Vice President Mike Pence as his running mate. "I don't think the people would accept it," Trump said, alluding to his supporters' anger with Pence for failing to support Trump's false claim he actually won the 2020 race. Trump wanted Pence to somehow overturn the election's results during the congressional certification of the Electoral College votes, notes the Examiner, but Pence explained he didn't have constitutional authority for such a move.

To heck with the people. Trump and the base wouldn’t accept it, and Pence himself would never rejoin the ticket.

For sure, Donald Trump won’t accept Mike Pence as his running mate in 2024. That ship has sailed.
Former VP Pence is on his own out there, and there do not seem to be very many patrons standing in the wings for him.
We are also sickened by the fact that he condemned Trump supporters. He should have stood up like a man and said no one should condemn thousands of American citizens for the actions of a few. He was too afraid and weak.

I would like a Trump and DeSantis ticket. Then that would set up DeSantis to run for president in 2028.

With the start of another presidential election season, I guess we can expect the media to become apoplectic and hysterical about everything that DJT says or does, or doesn’t say or doesn’t do. Actually, I think President Trump revels in it. The downside is that it may save CNN and MSNBC.
