President Donald Trump's approval rating does not appear to have been impacted by controversy in the wake of a recent Atlantic article claiming he had repeatedly made disparaging remarks about U.S. military members.
Trump's job approval rating hit 47 percent in a Hill-HarrisX poll released Tuesday, his highest rating in the poll since June. The poll was conducted online among 2,832 registered voters from September 5 to 8. It has a margin of error of 1.84 percent.
Republicans approved of Trump by an 81 percent majority, while 19 percent disapproved. Democrats had nearly opposite ratings, with 82 percent disapproving and 18 percent approving. Most Independents disapproved of the president, 55 percent to 45 percent.

People apparently want to make a sport out of the election - they treat it like a game in progress, and they want to know “what the score is so far“.
This is absurd, because unlike a game in progress, there is no “so far” and there is no “score”.
But that is the way people seem to want to look at it, and everyone talks in terms of who is “ahead“, who is “trailing”, who is “catching up”.
It is impossible to overstate how meaningless these tracking polls are. All they do is help the fake news build their fake narratives.

Not over yet. There will be a few more “bombshells.” The media will obsess over each one for 2-3 weeks until the next one is released. Meanwhile, the media is not doing its job “vetting” joe biden as a candidate. It is entirely focused on getting Trump.

Every lie democrats spit out gets it’s own book deal. These are really sick people.
When this story broke I sat there and immediately questioned why they would do this, they would HAVE to know using unnamed sources and no proof would bring the whole thing down as a pathetic ploy.
Flash forward to the October surprise - they release the transcripts or a recording of Trump being Trump and saying something there could be taken out of context to support this story.
This is my biggest fear here, that we are being set up and they actually DO have something to base the story on. If true and released properly it would be very damaging, and yes, I can see The Atlantic sitting on a story for 2 whole years to spring at just the right time to create controversy.

No way Independents have so low an approval of Trump. This is where the Shy Trump voter is hiding.
Rush said, about 10 minutes after President Trump was sworn into office and the RINOs, Never-Trumpers and Socialist Democrats unleashed the Hounds of Hell upon him, that the ONLY thing that could separate President Trump from his voters is Trump, himself.
