Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., told "Special Report with Bret Baier" Thursday that if Attorney General William Barr believes the president's tweeting is getting in the way of Barr's work, Trump should follow the attorney general's cue.
"The president made a great choice when he picked Bill Barr to be the attorney general," McConnell told host Bret Baier. "I think the president should listen to his advice."

You know at this point I don’t give a damn anymore because I know not a single conviction will befall any of the Russia hoax conspirators!! ZILCH! But this I do know, if you are conservative and for some spiteful reason the swamp makes up an accusation on you YOU AIN’T GOT A prayer OF A CHANCE of walking! You’ll be convicted and thrown in jail for years and years for a made up swamp hoax ! Your goose is cooked!! DC NEEDS TO BE NUKED!! I’ve lost hope any justice will rain down on the evil swamp! Barr should have never ever gone on a mediapuke news outlet to spew his grievances. You can smell a backstabbing traitor as soon as he surprises everyone by doing an interview with the enemy!!
Let Trump be Trump. He didn’t direct Barr to do anything. He never has.
I seem to recall famously one Barack Obama: “The Police acted stupidly” upon the arrest of his close friend Professor Gates.
I think Moscow Mitch should shut up and keep his advice to himself.
The GOP. Same as it ever was.
Trump won’t stop tweeting, so Barr needs to deal it or quit.
This is a good spat. Barr’s not wrong and Trump knows it. It’s laundry you want the neighbors to see on the line.
Let Trump be Trump. He didnt direct Barr to do anything. He never has.
Correct. If Barr has internal DOJ reasons for giving that interview so be it. But there is absolutely no reason for McConnell to pile on and undermine POTUS against the coup.
Is the McConnell Senate going to investigate this travesty of justice against Stone? Not at chance. Well, then, he can shut his pretty mouth.
... this is the take on some of President tweets concerning ongoing affairs with the Attorney General Barr...
...from many solid conservatives,and I agree.
Even Trump himself said yesterday that “ he was not bothered by Barr’s comment”....
I think we need to let this die!
The left LOVES when we get our pants in a wad!
Move on......
The idea that the President of the United States should act like any U.S. citizen in a matter like this when the AG is his subordinate is hilarious, too.
The networks can trot out one senator per day for the next two weeks to repeat that mantra. Otherwise it would die off and they just can’t have that.
The Republicans can preen themselves on their wisdom, generousness of spirit, moderation, etc. Giving the liberals red meat is just lagniappe.
Your #21 is dead on accurate and speaking for myself, given my age, I won’t appear before their judges. A Stone-like sentence for me might as well be a life sentence, so I’ll just have to decline their offer.
Everyone in the federal government is a subordinate of POTUS. Including the jackbooted FIB thugs.
Two against one...that’s not fair fight for
McConnell and Barr.
Barr is trying to undermine the works of the coup plotters.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do you have any evidence for that assertion?
I like Barr, and understand his perspective. But he seems satisfied with the wheels of justice turning so very slowly, and I am not.
Maybe if Barr had been attacked relentlessly for 3+ years, he would understand why Trump needs to respond. You can’t allow frustrations to boil up inside you, AG Barr.
I think we need to let this die!
We? Did any of us run to Fox to undermine POTUS against the coup? How about we hold the GOP accountable when they give aid and comfort to the ongoing Deep State coup against POTUS?
Every time someone’s control of the narrative is disrupted....the disruptor is scoffed at and the disruptee sqawls and whines.....eras below by recall...
1. FOUNDERS - Broadsides and pamphlets.
2. Ante Bellum - Pro and anti slaver newspapers locally
3. Civil War - Start of independent correspondents working for many newspapers and increasingly exclusively for larger city papers.
4. Photographers and artists ibid.
5. Post Bellum - building use of nationally distributed newswires via telegraph and teletypes.
6. FDR - Radio
7. JFK - TV
8. Reagan - direct mail
9. Clinton era - rapid growth of conservative AM radio
10. Clinton Bush/Obama eras partisan cable and co-option of formerly broadcast only networks. Internet blogs.
TRUMP-Use of social media to disrupt/obsolete all former means of messaging and narrative creation. Out spinning the spinners.
Let Trump tweet. He has formed an army of 60mm+ and is crushing the old elite.
If he does not go Cromwell or Caesar on us, he is the last hope of the Republic.
But sadly, far too many on this side are more than happy to imitate the Obama Cult of Personality, and pretend that this President is the Savior, and is incapable of any improvement.
I like his word choices.
Short and to the point.
Maybe we should talk about the shape of our democracy, or some s*** like that.
