My beef will always be that ownership should be unrestricted and reciprocal for all states. Anything less is ridiculous.

Any other laws should be based on an imminent danger to society....

27. Michigan

Not much legislative activity to speak of in Michigan, which isn’t necessarily bad news. Michigan receives 7 points in the CCW category thanks to fairly strong Shall-Issue process. The state’s Strong Use ­of ­Force statutes earn it 10 points, which could come in handy in Detroit, home to the highest murder rate in the nation. The state receives full points in both the NFA and Black Gun columns but, somewhat surprisingly, registration of handguns is required. (2018 rank: 26)

Here in Kentucky we have “constitutional carry”. Just think about that descriptive term. If you want the constitution to apply to you, you have to move to one of a handful of states where parts of the US constitution are legal. Thanks Governor Bevin, its a shame that the unconstitutional fraud we now call elections applies to all fifty states.

Won’t people just drive to North Carolina? I mean I would. If you want to have guns, a trip to North Carolina every few months would be very worth it. Not that I agree with Virginia taking away ability to buy guns, but at least your near a free state.

PA is very gun friendly, although Act 79 requires gun surrender to the authorities. (A final PFA, protection from abuse, and you lose your gun rights.)
In the minds of the citizens — those living clear of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia — a gun is a common and useful tool.
I’m often tempted to move to one of the nearby states, and then...they’ve limited the gun rights, but not the crime rates. :(
