The Frederick County Sheriff's Office has charged two teens for the random, unprovoked physical attack of a 59-year-old man at the Great Frederick Fair.
The victim was found near the midway area of the fairgrounds around 5:36 p.m. Friday, lying unconscious. Police interviewed multiple witnesses who told them the victim had been minding his own business.
Maryland State Police airlifted the victim to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore where he died from his injuries Saturday. An autopsy is now scheduled at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine an exact cause of death.
According to law enforcement sources, the two teenage suspects, ages 15 and 16, may have been playing the so-called "knockout game" at the time of the wanton attack. A spokesperson for the Frederick County Sheriff's Office would not confirm that notion but stated it would "certainly be looked at."

Since this happened in Frederick County and not in Baltimore, there’s a good chance that the local prosecutors will try to make sure these ferals pay a serious price for this inexcusable crime.

The way the law etc is interpreted, the ‘Knockout Game’ may be as close to the perfect crime as one can get.
It is usually 4 or so against a single target.
When the 4 approaching, no matter how menancing they may appear, there is ‘nothing’ one can do in self defense.
So you can’t ‘shoot’ them for what YOU think is intent.
Once they hit ‘you’ and keep walking away, the situation is supposedly ‘ended’ so you CAN’T shoot then either.
This particular incident was in MD where you can’t even THINK of carrying, permits few and far between so most decent folks are of no help.
THAT said, I would recommend that I not be the ‘target’ as - even though I am aware of the above - I would imagine the last thing you thought when leaving the house in the morning was you ‘ain’t coming home tonight’.

A blind side sucker punch to the head makes it hard to reach your sidearm.
This was a fatal case of 1) putting oneself in the vicinity of ferals and 2) not maintaining complete 360 degree situational awareness especially when ferals are nearby.
I got sucker punch decked by a urban “teen” when I was 13. I was fortunate to survive an early introduction to them and their habitat.

Who was that conservative columnist who had columns about talking to his children about blacks? Was it Rod Dreher? I remember that he was at a fair when gangs started shooting and he got in trouble for saying he told his kids, “If you see the number of blacks increasing, it’s time for you to leave.”
A few years ago the media tried to dismiss concerns that some attacks were “the knockout game” because the violent offenders weren’t playing by “the rules”.
Perps have been known to VIDEO their own attacks and yet prosecution has been weak.

When it’s ‘only’ brain damage the thugs are back on the street before the victim is out of the hospital.

AKA..."Herbing"...Since the victim was 59 years old, he could easily be considered a "Herb" by these savages...especially if he wore eyeglassses.
