I may be crossrefencing another article by mistake...sorry. There was another article speaking of “definitive treatment of a pancreatic tumor with no more cancer seen anywhere. This article spoke of ablative stereotactic radiation treatment and placement of the stent. So I probably conflated the two bits of articles together.

I think even the other article wasn’t suggesting removal. Rather the radiation was “definitive” in that surgery was not considered viable in her case, and as I have read elsewhere a third of deaths from pancreatic tumor occur with the cancer still localized.
It would be nice to see things play out to win instead of so genteel and all that rot. It is what the rats do.
