Ill pick October 9th.
RBG had lung cancer surgery in December ‘18, pronounced free of cancer in January ‘19, to a positive blood test for cancer in late June ‘19. Stent was done in July to avoid jaundice symptoms, and three weeks of radiation in August. Such evidence does not support the description of a slow progression.
“Yep, the press releases on this have been masterpieces of obscuration. They could easily be (and may have been designed to be) interpreted as meaning shes cured and all is well in RBG-land.”
Peculiar how history repeats itself. That’s just the way the press releases dealing with Teddy Kennedy’s health were written. Methinks RBG has a similar prognosis, and the obscuring press releases are a strong reason why.
“She only has to live another 4 months, then the Dems will say Trump cant appoint another Supreme Court Justice because its the last year before an election.”
They can say that all they want, but that is not the law.
There were reasons McConnel was able to legally delay the filling of Scalia’s position.... one was that zero was a lame duck president at the time and could not be reelected, which is not the case with Trump.
“The tumor was treated definitively and there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body.”
They said about the same thing in January of this year also. Circulating metastatic cells are not easy to find. There is no tumor to target by surgery or with some form of radiation therapy. That’s what chemotherapy is targeted toward, if one can tolerate the treatment. RBG is probably too weak for that avenue.
If a normal regimen of radiation treatment is five days, what internal organs would not be well done after three weeks?
The nature as I understand it of the type she got is for it to be extremely targeted. But it sounds like she’s beyond hope anyway.
That happened to my wife and she was given a 5% chance to survive. She did survive but lost most of her pancreas.
Nothing. But I just find it so unfair that beginning with Scalia that liberals cheer any conservative who dies but we seem to go the respectful route when a liberal passes away. Just frustrating. I know we are overall better for it but gets tiresome being abused while we take it.
True! But so frustrating.
I thought there was a provision that a replacement justice could not be named by a lame duck President in his last year of office? Isn’t that what happened to prevent barky from naming a replacement for Scalia?
But Trump is no where near his last year in office.
Lame Duck indicates the last possible year of presidency, President Trump can run for another 4 years since he is still in his 3rd year. Obama was in his 8th and final possible year.
If a gallstone blocks the duct below where they join, the pancreas swell up like a balloon and explodes, dumping powerful digestive juices into the gut
_____________-
I saw something like that on Dr G Medical Examiner.
Guy was an alocholic with pancreatitis.
Leaking digestive juices ate away at something(can’t remember what), causing it to weaken and burst...
and then he bled to death. Guy was only about 30.
It may be the 8th year that would make the difference in the provision.
Obama’s brain “David Axelrod warns Supreme Court vacancy fight could ‘tear this country apart’”
Wonder what David knows?
I don't think anyone should bother putting her name on a Christmas shopping list.
I’ll say October 10, the day after Yom Kippur. That way, she’ll have a chance to throw all her sins in the river before she goes to meet the Big Guy.
Alcoholism is the leading cause of pancreatitis.
