Yesterday, I watched some of the news coverage on TV. It was just some quotes from the press release. Instead of what should have happened, IMO, which would have been in-depth analysis, with experts (doctors). Even Fox News was terrible.
This should have been the number one news story. She is a very important member of the US Government. Her life, sickness or death has great import on the country.

Any doctors here who can explain what “treated definitively” means in this context?

I’m not a doctor and didn’t even stay in a Holiday Inn Express but did track down the following “official” governmental/medical definition.
“definitive treatment: The treatment plan for a disease or disorder that has been chosen as the best one for a patient after all other choices have been considered.”

In context, I believe it means they’ve ruled out treatments that are possible when pancreatic cancer is caught very early such as surgical resection. It certainly doesn’t mean “cured”.

The bile duct isn’t a large structure and it doesn’t take a very big tumor to block it. That said it’s in critical location with a lot of surrounding structures like arteries/veins/lymph nodes/ nerves/liver and intestine. A tumor in that area is almost never surgically resectable and therefore can only be treated but not cured.
Yes, that seems to be it. Surgery wasn’t viable, this is what can be done — and the prognosis doesn’t sound great.
I would not trust Gateway Pundit’s medical judgement. The link he provides is about bile duct cancer, not pancreatic cancer.

Yep, the press releases on this have been masterpieces of obscuration. They could easily be (and may have been designed to be) interpreted as meaning she’s “cured” and all is well in RBG-land.
