Democratic congressional leaders said they held a constructive meeting with President Trump on Monday at which they agreed to seek a deal on a $2 trillion infrastructure bill.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) left the meeting at noon sounding a decidedly positive note, calling the meeting with Trump at the White House constructive and good.

They said they had not agreed on how to pay for a $2 trillion bill to improve the nation's roads, bridges, waterways and broadband, but that they had agreed to meet in another three weeks.

And they said the battles between the White House and Democrats over special counsel Robert Mueller's report had not prevented the progress.

Democrats idea of a $2 trillion infrastructure bill translates into build homes for the illegals more parks for the homeless .
What will be first thing they want to tax to the max to pay for the scam.
Danger warning when a democrat smiles keep your back to the wall and never bend over.

Broadband? Meaning 5G? Despicable!

This is 2x the Bush/Obama “stimulus”, renamed “infrastructure”!

Pork, pork, pork—but because it is pushed by a Republican president, the GOP will back it and it will pass...

It is another Democrat/Big Govt bill—the lefties will love it. Dems in Congress will take home massive pork to assure their reelection.

Every part and piece of that infrastructure had taxes set on it to raise money expressly for it’s maint and eventual replacement. Gas taxes, road taxes, vehicle registration taxes, all sorts of taxes. Where’s that money?

Road construction is a mobbed-up industry.

Gov doesn’t generate anything remotely close to trillions in fuel tax. It generates about $35 billion a year (or $350 billion over 10 years) at the federal level. Double that if you count state.

How can DJT agree on a 2T infrastructure plan without fixing the border first?

Not that I’m saying something along those lines didn’t happen, but there’s no mention of it.

how much more if you add tolls and vehicle sales taxes and registration and licensing fees?

I thought the Dems and Ryno and McCuckold and Obmoeba already solved this with that Porkulus bill.
Can we claw back the money from all the Feminazi/auntie Fa/Mooselimb Bomberhood / Chicom / offshore graft accounts it prob’y got funneled/shoveled (”shovel-ready”) into?

Probably a similar amount that all goes to the states, some of which has costs against it. None of that goes to federal government budget, which is where this $2 trillion is supposedly coming from.

People could not safely evacuate the Titanic.

The US is taking on stragglers, not water.

Yeah why have taxes for specific issues

It’s always stolen and used for pet projects or to make politicians millionaires

Millions come in every pay period to FICA (social security tax) and Medicare and then the money is replaced with IOU’s and the money stolen for who knows what?

And it is never paid back.

And gas taxes keep going up, especially in CA, but govs always ask for money to fix roads cause the tax money is stolen by politicians.

Thanks but my point is:

Titanic sailed with too many on board...They allowed too many on board. They ignored boiler room fires, a contributing factor to their demise, and they did not have enough lifeboats for all...

We are ignoring the fires on our non-existent southern border. We are allowing too many in...With the debt we have, we cannot afford infrastructure not to mention millions of illegal unskilled economic invaders who will be depending on us for lifeboats...We simply do not have enough lifeboats.

If we continue to ignore the fires and allow millions in, we will sink just like the Titanic...

“What is the government doing with the trillions they have been receiving in fuel taxes FOR transportation infrastructure?”

Building manors for themselves with eight foot stone walls and cobblestone driveways complete with security houses and round-the-clock armed security. Swimming pools, tennis courts and eight car garages...all for Congresspeople that make about $250K a year...wink, wink.

“And not a penny for the wall.”

Trump is surrounded with people who vehemently don’t want a wall.

“Trump is surrounded with people who vehemently don’t want a wall.”

Whether it be African slaves in the 18th and 19th century, or caravans of Central Americans and Mexicans now, the terminal and permanent addiction to cheap labor is going to be the death of America, one way or the other.

Trump is surrounded with people who vehemently don’t want a wall.

Then he needs to fire them all and replace them with people who do. Personally I don't think his administration should include ANYONE who currently lives within a 75 mile radius of the White House.
