At the presser when they came out of the meeting Pelosi had a very hard time getting the words out but was talking with her hands, she looks to be fading fast.

Making deals with the Devil, eh? This won’t go over well with their base.

The results of their private Focus Groups of voters seem to be scaring the hell out of them.

Just wondering (and admittedly snickering a bit at the thought), but wouldn’t this be the OPPOSITE of the Green New deal?

. . . they agreed to seek a deal . . . which is the equivalent of agreeing to try to agree.

They thought they were gonna get rid of Trump before the 2020 election, so they really havent been dealing with the actual task of defeating Trump in an election. And Im not exaggerating here.
There is no party platform per se. Youve got these 18+ people running for president, who are trying to out leftist each other, see who can be the biggest and best socialist and so forth.
But there isnt a premise for why the country needs the Democrat Party.
Thanks to Empire_of_Liberty for the observation/reality shown below:
Modern American politics is people who dont pay taxes voting for people who never did to send them to DC to tax everyone else.

When the Green New Deal starts tearing down buildings to build green ones ... we will just tear down these roads and bridges that we are going to now fix. But since we only have 12 years to live ... does it really matter what we do to the roads and bridges?

AOC might veto it, though. Cars would travel on those highways, emitting carbon footprints as the driver eats hamburgers for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Maybe if the roads were restricted to horse drawn carts,
and those horses when they pulled were corked to hold in farts.

The gasoline tax we have been paying for decades was supposed to be for this ‘infrastructure’ renewal. The demon rats and republicants spent that money on social welfare projects trying to gain votes. Now we pay for it again ...

Beat me by 30 seconds, we've already given them trillions, where is the accountability?

They said they had not agreed on how to pay for a $2 trillion bill to improve the nation’s roads, bridges, waterways and broadband, but that they had agreed to meet in another three weeks.
So at the end of the day they got a hole bunch of nothing!
