WTH are you talking about? Consider also Secretary of State Mattis resigned in December 2018. There is still no nominee for what is arguably one of the three most critical cabinet positions (Defense, State, and Attorney General). The Mattis resignation was no surprise. There should have been a nominee for his replacement within 2 weeks, not nearly 4 months.

Michael R. Pompeo was sworn in as the 70th U.S. Secretary of State on April 26, 2018. The Secretary of State, appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Senate, is the President's chief foreign affairs adviser. The Secretary carries out the President's foreign policies through the State Department, which includes the Foreign Service, Civil Service, and U.S. Agency for International Development.

William Pelham Barr is an American attorney who has served as the 85th and current United States Attorney General since 2019, having previously served in the position from 1991 to 1993. Seriously, get a grip.

I call it as I see it.

This should have been top priority from day one, but Priebus/Pence/Ryan fooled him into chasing an Obamacare repeal that they thwarted.

He didn’t really use his powers to get any legislation done on immigration when he had a GOP House and Senate. He named Kelly as his first head of DHS, who made a point of not getting any of Trump’s wished for reforms implemented, and still has Kelly’s girl in now running DHS.

He backed down from a wall to a fence and now he’s talking about 400 miles on a 2000-mile border.

And increasing low-skill and all legal immigrants too.

Oh, but I liked Gloria. She made a point of saying that her group had requested a 30-foot wall and thanking him for delivering on it.

He should make her his wall czar and see that 2000 miles 30’ tall of double wall with a nice road and loads of concertina in between get built.

My personal design would have nets that feed any that make it over the first wall into catapults to send them back over to Mexico before their feet can touch American soil. But that might be impractical along a 2000-mile wall.

Not really. He did do a U-turn on closing the border. Then this afternoon he backpedaled a bit from his u-ey.

"If Trump continues to waver and appear indecisive, plus continue to make public statements that are untrue and appear to be the result of memory failure (claiming his father was born in Germany), VP Pence and a majority of the cabinet may certify to Congress that Trump is mentally and emotionally unable to discharge the duties of office. Back that up with a statement signed by Trump’s physician and he will be “temporarily” removed. However, Congress can then permanently remove his with a 2/3 vote of both houses."

Most absurd trolling post of the year-to-date... You neverTrumpers need to return to the cesspool of your Alinsky compatriots at the DU...

Watch the video. Trump didn’t say “1 year of open border.” The news shill asks him about it and trump shuts him down. It is fake news and everyone reported that fake news, including Fox News & Breitbart!

At 5:53 to 8:30 minutes, the interview covers Mexico.
Within that segment, at 8:02 minutes a reporter asks him about 1 year of open borders, which Trump immediately denies very clearly.

WTH are you talking about?

I am talking about the Secretary of Defense Mattis job being open since December 20, 2018. No replacement. Critical position. I am fully aware the Secretary of State and Attorney General jobs are filled.

“You neverTrumpers need to return to the cesspool of your Alinsky compatriots at the DU...”

If you read any of my posts you would know I generally support the president and his policies. One post suggests his behavior is playing into the hands of his enemies and you are calling me a troll. Perhaps you should look in the mirror if you are concerned about Allinsky behavior.

Although the border was not completely closed, hundreds of Officers were re-deployed from several Ports of Entry (notably in El Paso), to handle the crush of illegals between the Ports of Entry.

That resulted in big backlogs at those Ports of Entry - hours in line (up to 8 hour waits in El Paso). It was enough pressure to get a rise out of Mexico.

Good!

Consider also Secretary of State Mattis resigned in December 2018.

What??? Mattis never was Sect of State, he was Secty of Defense

And what do you mean he has no Secty of State or AG. Where have you been? Two of the three are filled and Shanahan is serving as Secty of Defense. Just wow. I think you're on the wrong web site.

I read it the same way she did (you’ll see my response too) also it does say “ of State Mattis resigned in December 2018” on your post so you should understand our confusion. I’m sure you meant Secretary of Defense

First of all, Mitt, the President doesn’t legislate, second, when the house and senate were both Republican, they were (and continue to be, ball less).

Trump issued the threat to Mexico that he
would shut down the border if they didn’t
attempt to stop the flow. Mexico has taken
action to stop the flow. The threat remains
on the table as Trump is now watching to see
if Mexico is only making a half-assed
attempt. Trump didn’t u-turn on his threat,
but added an additional arm twist of teriffs
of Mexican built autos if they don’t pitch
in to stop the flow.
Trump’s not crazy, but he’s dealing with a
country that is.
