And as Reagan had to do, you go directly to the people to get what needs doing out of Congress. Trump left dealings with Congress, including priorities and pressure, to the likes of Ryan and Pence (both much more in the Mitt school) his first year in office, which is when he should have had the most leverage out of his entire term.

With all of that against him, he has still made AMAZING progress on MANY fronts. The economy stupid, VA, defense spending, TRADE! deregulation, Supreme Court Justices, Appeals Court Judges, lower court judges, Tax cuts, National pride, respect from other nations, and a myriad of other things.

President Trump has placed people in his administration who don’t embrace the Deplorable Agenda. If he withdraws the nomination of a person who is proving to be not on board, that’s a good thing.
Most leverage in his first year? Perhaps, Jeb, you forgot what the run up to the first year was like and the first year. Congress was afraid to be seen with him, let alone be influenced by him. No, it took him to call out the frauds and get a number of them to retire before anything could possibly be done.

Ryan and Pence tricked him. He brought the wrong people in his admin, largely because Javanka convinced him to, and that was the main hole he had to spend the last two years digging himself out of—and by then he’d lost the House.
He was and is our best shot by far. God bless him for what he is doing and trying to do, but that doesn’t mean we should ignore reality either.
Trump says a LOT of things. Some are contradictory. You seem to confuse what he says with what he DOES, and he’s been incredibly consistent with that. He is fulfilling the campaign promises he made.
You go ahead and ignore all the things he’s done in 2 years. I’m watching more 30 foot high barriers being built than any other time in my life. I’m watching illegal immigration become a national emergency and a daily topic of conversation regarding the desires of Democrats to have ever more invading hordes of illegals.
