Last year, after the tragic shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, Boulder, Colorado decided to ban AR-15 rifles. Current residents who owned these firearms were subject to a grandfather clause. They also had until July 18, 2018 to get rid of, or sell, so-called high-capacity magazines and bump stocks. Those who were grandfathered in had until December 27, 2018 to certify their rifles with the local sheriffs department. There is no paper trail. No records are kept, but it sure sounds like a test run for a gun registry. Only 342 people have certified their rifles. You know there are more out there. The Democratic Party is anti-gun, but outside of the urban strongholds, the Acela Corridor, and the liberal northeast, there seems to be more than a few who like their firearms. It appears a good cluster of pro-gun Democrats is in Boulder. And yes, theyre defying the ordinance .

So-called pro-gun Democrats are a textbook example of cognitive dissonance. As well as being blithering idiots.
I know an AR-15 owner and businessman who bitches constantly about high taxes, regulations, government corruption. He owns several AR-15s here in New York with stocks and clips that are now illegal. I point that out to him and he says “let then come and take them!”
He was also a big Democrat and Hillary supporter and Trump hater.
I’ve told him that he’s insane and needs to get his head checked.
Did the Parkland shooter use an AR?
Turn his ass in...
You think THAT is bad? What about the Monolithic Media’s attempt to ban even DISCUSSION of 3-D printable firearms?
Dont like anti-gun social-media CENSORS? Me neither! Go to the Facebook and Disqus forbidden website https://www.codeisfreespeech.com/
and download for FREE all 10 printable gun blueprints, then spread the word to your friends. I did!
“Did the Parkland shooter use an AR?”
YES.
Careful, he has illegal weapons and illegal magazines.
An actual ‘Armalite’ or a variant. I’ve forgotten by now.
Now, DEMOCRATS may be EXEMPT from compliance with the anti-gun laws, as Hillary was for violating the Espionage Act. We have seen it before in MANY gun cases.
Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.
“An actual Armalite or a variant. Ive forgotten by now.”
There is NO WAY that loser had an actual Armalite. They are in the collector’s realm. I doubt his was even a Colt. The Monolithic Media does not know enough to say what brand he had.
Huh? I know of an Armalite Rifle nearby. Should it not shoot it anymore and sold to a museum? Just looked and it seems to have been washed away in the rain storm last night. Dang it.
Armalite ran from the 50’s to the 80s. It came back into being in 1996 and has been up and running since then. I bought an “actual” Armalite AR-10A4 a few years ago, and it is much more in the shooter realm than the collector realm.
“Huh? I know of an Armalite Rifle nearby. Should it not shoot it anymore and sold to a museum? Just looked and it seems to have been washed away in the rain storm last night. Dang it.”
Those surprise storms can be BAD! Ha-ha. If it is an original Armalite, I would sell it, and get a quality SHOOTER, and use the extra money for ammo or other accessories.
According to the Boulder law, when you 'certify' your 'assault weapon,' you are given two copies of your certificate. You are supposed to keep one with the firearm at all times, and safely store away the second copy to replace the first if it becomes lost or damaged.
If you lose both certificates, the police cannot and will not issue a replacement, and your possession of the firearm becomes illegal.
Cost for the certification was $20 for the first firearm, and $5 for each subsequent firearm.
I am glad they are back in production, but the now ones, even though they are better FIREARMS, won’t have the collector value of the old ones, which were built internally much more like M-16’s than the newer ones are.
I will keep an eye on the Truckee. I might see it drift past on my commute.
“but the new ones” I meant.
Trump has passed more gun control than Obama ever did.
