Just past midnight on May 1, a young rabbinical student was walking home on Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn when he thought he was being followed. A moment after that intuition struck, two men grabbed him, threw him against a car and started punching him.
The victim had dropped a box containing $200, meant for charity, but the money went untouched. The student, it seemed, was attacked because he was overheard speaking Hebrew on his cellphone. His two assailants were indicted on assault and hate crime charges.
No other American city is more closely associated with Jewish identity than New York or more adamantly imagines itself as the capital of liberalisms most cherished values of tolerance, acceptance and diversity.

If anti-Semitism bypasses consideration as a serious problem in New York, it is to some extent because it refuses to conform to an easy narrative with a single ideological enemy. During the past 22 months, not one person caught or identified as the aggressor in an anti-Semitic hate crime has been associated with a far right-wing group, Mark Molinari, commanding officer of the police departments Hate Crimes Task Force, told me.
Growing up and visiting the NYC area, one of the biggest changes is seeing a lot more people wearing typical Arabic clothing, especially the women, and how Arabs have taken over the food cart businesses. No coincidence Muslims have joined blacks in hating Jews.
It would appear that a great many Jews in New York vote liberal.
So, perhaps they reap what they sew.
So, let the libs stay there and the rest of us do not care. For the conservative Jews, please come and live with those of us who are sane enough to not live in New York (or other liberal bastions of crime.
“....adamantly imagines itself as the capital of liberalisms most cherished values of tolerance, acceptance and diversity...”
Good for you...wear the jacket.
Ping!
Not safe wherever the Democrat Thug Party rules.
Past midnight? Tell me what’s good that happens. It’s like battered women coming back for more.
With the completely irrational Pittsburg Jewish response to Trump demonstrated by the so-called Jewish community and local politicians pandering to the liberal vote, Not to mention some moron Jew shouting to Trump that he wasn’t welcome I can begin to understand why some people might dislike some Jews.
It’s not safe anywhere except maybe Israel with the rate at which the Left is spreading antisemitism around the globe.
Is it safe to be a cop in a urban areas (at least they are armed), a Christian, a Trump supporter...a lone female at night?
If only there was some way they could protect themselves?
No word on if the assailants were members of the two victimology identities enjoyed by louie farrakhan.
They would have to be Arab
To the average goyim Hebrew could be Arabic unless youre used to hearing it
Like I am....but I only know a few phrases
I find the New York times very intolerant of values they don't share and this intolerance shows in both bias by distortion and bias by omission.
Last time the National Socialists were in charge somewhere it was not good to be Jewish.
“Growing up and visiting the NYC area, one of the biggest changes is seeing a lot more people wearing typical Arabic clothing, especially the women, and how Arabs have taken over the food cart businesses. No coincidence Muslims have joined blacks in hating Jews.”
Without fail, the problems I have had in NYC have been with blacks or Muslims (or both).
The most randomly violent are the so-called “black Hebrews” (or somesuch) who participate in an American-born cultish replacement theology religion of some kind where they pretend they are the “real Jews”.
It’s not safe to be anything in NYC because it’s illegal to defend yourself there.
Even if you have a pistol permit (Which means you’re a member of the NYC elite) you’re not allowed to use it. A cop sees it on your belt and they’ll just shoot you. It’s a sh!thole.
That said, I worked the Diamond District many years back. DO NOT THINK FOR A SECOND that the Hassids are unarmed and defenseless. They camp out in the high building windows and rooftops with rifles. They walk the streets with carriages (That hold not babies, but usually UZIs) and they are all on the same page about what to do with the bodies. No no no my FRiend.. the Hasidic people are not to be trifled with.
The rest of the jews are anti-gun liberals so they are defenseless. Their vote sees to it. I have little pity for the group (I know not ALL jews) that elects my enemy to “rule over” me and my family finally gets a taste of what those elections mean.
I know only one Jew who moved out of NY and into PA (Which is what my town is for.. displaced liberal NY jews) because of his desire to defend himself and his family. And he is the typical NE “But Republican” and believes that not everyone deserves a gun.. like a Trump support doesn’t deserve a gun but what he calls “The Muslim brothers” do deserve to defend themselves... from the Trump supporter.
And then goes on to claim that he is a conservative. All the while moving away from the area that houses “Islamberg”.
Is it safe to be in New York?
” Not to mention some moron Jew shouting to Trump that he wasnt welcome I can begin to understand why some people might dislike some Jews.”
The apikorsim do not speak for the Jewish people and are not representatives on anyone but their own evil.
Yes, less Sabrett hot dogs, more halal carts. I hate it. But that’s nothing compared to the islamics I’m seeing in NJ. Maybe because I am usually in Manhattan not the other boroughs.
But I would imagine it’s mostly blacks attacking Jews...at this point.
It’s OK to dislike some Jews, but not for being Jewish. Many Jews don’t like some Jews.
I believe this is another Lubavitcher incident near Lubavitch HQ. Wearing distinctive clothing and hat and speaking Yiddish. I dont recall many Muslims around there, mostly blacks. May have changed in the last few years.
Beating Jews in that neighborhood happens every so often.
