Anatomy Does Not Determine Gender, Experts Say

Defining gender as a condition determined strictly by a person’s genitals is based on a notion that doctors and scientists abandoned long ago as oversimplified and often medically meaningless.
Researchers who have studied gender issues and provided health care to people who do not fit the typical M/F pigeonholes said that the Trump administration’s latest plan to define gender goes beyond the limits of scientific knowledge.
“The idea that a person’s sex is determined by their anatomy at birth is not true, and we’ve known that it’s not true for decades,” said Dr. Joshua D. Safer, an endocrinologist and executive director of the Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery at Mount Sinai Health System in New York. He is also president of the United States Professional Association of Transgender Health.
But exactly what does determine gender identity — a person’s powerful, core knowledge of who they are — is not so clear.
“We know that there is a significant, durable biological underpinning to gender identity,” Dr. Safer said. “What we don’t know are all of the biological factors at play that explain gender identity. As far as we in the mainstream biological-medical community understand it in 2018, it is hard-wired, it is biological, it is not entirely hormonal, and we do not have identified genes, so we cannot specifically say it is genetic.”

If a lock is created with a single matching key, changing the definition of what defines an "open lock" or wishing the lock to be open, or outright declaring that a closed lock is an open one, does not change the physical fact that other keys will not open that lock.

Gender is, and has always been, a grammatical term. The terms “cis” and “trans” are organic chemistry terms. I love how the soft stupid “sciences” borrow from legitimate academic fields to firm up ridiculous propositions that were the punchline for jokes a few generations ago.
“Gender” itself is an invented term that was created for the purpose of pretending that the sex you are has nothing to do with your sex. In the real world, the only people who don’t believe their sex matches their gender are those with severe mental illness.

I think we are all tired of them, but I do think it is important to know the arguments they try to make to gullible people in order to support their lunacy.
There are two sexes, genders, whatever.
XX and XY.
Female and male.
Everything else is varying types and degrees of mental illness.
Exactly: gender is a bogus term and no conservative should ever use it. We even use it here, every day! This is the wedge-word that pushes this crap into western consciousness. Pushed, mostly, by gay activists who are out to destroy civilization.
They get to “legal” mutilate genitals without necessarily being a member of the Islamic cult.
