Americans' support for a ban on semi-automatic guns in the U.S. has dropped eight percentage points from a year ago, when opinions were more evenly divided after the mass shooting in Las Vegas. Last year's measure was unusually high for the trend over the past several years; the current 40% is back to within a few points of where it was between 2011 and 2016.

It is all in how you ask the question.
In the era of mob rule and subversives in government, Americans should now be able to figure out why some people “need” semi automatic weapons. Mobs can be xontrolled a lot easier.
I support a ban on democrats
Just as long as they don’t ban my Daisy one pump spring-loaded assault BB gun.
Majority have ALWAYS opposed a ban on semi-auto rifles.
Assault rifles are full-auto and highly regulated.
A Class III license and FBI background check are required and because of the 1986 law restricting new registrations, they are scarce and very expensive.
Ban assault liberals.
The “Majority” knows that what the left wants banned ARE NOT “ASSAULT RIFLES”!
Democrats arent even talking about gun control... they know its a loser.
The great Pelosi calls it gun safety. Like Americans are fooled.
Mrs rktman may or may not have a nice SS composit stock 10/22 with multiple “high capacity” ammo holder things. AKA. Assault rifle
I can already see a Phalanx CIWS mounted on my front porch! Yesssssssssssssssssssssssss!
Exactly.
But at the end of the day, if the democrates got their way on gun control, they would potentially have to try and arrest millions of people.
I don’t think that soccer moms are going to be very thrilled when their Dads, husband and brothers are snared in this mess.
You know our laws and the courts are insane and corrupt when ripping apart an innocent baby in and outside the womb is somehow found in the Constitution of the United States, but ordinary citizens are made into felons because they own a piece of plastic with a spring in it.
We didn’t have AR15’s when I was in the Army. We did have M16’s and M14’s and a few others.
(A) B.S.
(B) The whole point of the Bill of Rights and the Constitution was to restrain the whims of a temporary “majority.”
My ladies group has had a few target shooting days over the years. Lots of fun!
It’s all about not only HOW you ask, but WHERE you ask and WHO you ask.
Just like when certain kinds of lawsuits are filed almost exclusively in East-Texas courtrooms - where more liberal/anti-business courts prevail... you shop around your question to find the most accommodating audience for the narrative you wish to portray.
Of course - when you control most of the media - and said media is flooding the minds and time of the majority of Americans - along with public schools and universities that are constantly working overtime to brainwash the masses into their Marxist viewpoints.
But there are a lot of suburban moms who get together at their hen parties where they collectivity decide the sensible solution to everything.
