It is a sad state of affairs when the worse Republican is preferable to the best Demon. Looks like 90% of the GOP base is wholeheartedly giving the GOP the finger while shaking hands with the President.

The increased tax revenues show that reform is beginning.

Trump represents the true forgotten American. The gloBULList Free Traitors™ are really pissed. Good! I can see that war going on here on Free Republic between the GOP globalists and real America..

The MAGA "agenda", which is really an American nationalist agenda, reads like the 1924 Republican Party Platform. What's old is new gain.

That cannot happen before the Demon party is destroyed.

Every Republican is better than the best Demon.

There is no Free Trade, it does not and has not ever existed.

Give me an example of any country at any time that had Free Trade.

We have state managed trade, it is in no way Free.

We have to retaliate against those tariffs levied against out exports. Dollar for dollar. So if Free Trade unobtainable and a myth, as you brought up, then we need a uniform across the board PERMANENT tariff.

The goal of Free Trade will increase wealth for everyone.

Now the tariff is just another government tax. It is funny to see that China thinks it will benefit by imposing such a tax on its people. It is not like the people have a lot of disposable income to give the government.

Actually what he did was seize back the Party of Reagan from the Bush Family and it’s hangers on.

It isn’t President Trump’s party. It’s the party of those that elected and support him.

Folks like Corker want to talk s**t, but the tariff’s are working and creating jobs.

I’d love to know how Corker was able to finagle that deal on the shopping center in Alabama.

“Forced out? Pawlenty lost a fair election ending a questionable come-back attempt.”

Exactly. The reasons for Pawlenty’s loss go deeper than the fact he had spoken badly of Trump in the past.

Imposing? The Chinese govt has imposing a tariff on our exports (blocking US workers from their markets ) for 30 f---ing years. Where the H have you been?

BTW, that pic of Ashleigh Banfield is hilarious.

S.E. Cupp reminds me of her. And now both are on HLN.

S.E. Cupp’s commercial features her saying (with a straight face) “I’ve always been honest”.

Big surprise HLN is owned by CNN, it appears.

Chinese tariffs are paid by the Chinese people no matter what irrelevancies you scream.

The word “impospng” makes it sound like this is new. This is an old issue, one side trade. You Free Traitors™ make it sound like this is all new.

I don’t make anything seem like anything. I look at situations and analyze what they mean.

Nothing I said was worth an hysterical outburst. It is undeniable that the Chinese will pay the tariff.

We will have fewer exports but you don’t care about that as much as causing suffering in some other country.

Pawlenty was last elected when— 2006? Why should anyone take him seriously in 2018 when it is a different world than the one he knew? And as for Kasich, ditto— he couldn’t get elected in Ohio today if his life depended on it. Jeb is yesterdays hash. Why should anyone care what these has beens think?

The similarity between Pawlenty and Jeb Bush is indeed strong. Both relied on the donor class and media ads, and failed to connect with the Republican base. Neither communicated that they understood that the 16 years prior to Trump’s election had gone badly for the working class of the country. Jeb, in addition, was clueless about the war in Iraq. These things make it look like they became out of touch with voters because it had been a while since either of them were in an election.

John Kasich, on the other hand, was te-elected Governor of Ohio four years ago, in a landslide; and, won the Republican primary for President in Ohio two years ago. So, he’s been before the voters of his state recently and connected with them quite well. Who knows, in a different year, maybe he could have won our party’s nomination. Ted Cruz won his state. I could say the same thing about him. But, they were up against the Trump train and were rolled over.

Think of boxing. Mohammed Ali fought some chumps, and Jeb Bush turned out to be a chump. But, Ali also fought some very worthy opponents, among them Smokin’ Joe Frazier. Ali is recognized as The Greatest not because he beat chumps, but because he beat very worthy opponents.
