One big problem for the schools is the consolidation of the textbook industry. It used to be that when picking out textbooks for my jr. high history classes, I’d have dozens to choose from. Five years ago, there were fewer than five, and most of them were from the same publishers.

Some of the early pages of Vol 1 have not been updated since 1930, so the mentions of things scientific are a bit off by today’s standards; interesting, however, to read what science thought in the 20s & 30s. For instance, dinosaurs were thought to have roamed the earth 50,000 years ago.

There was one entire chapter on The Rapist in Chief, and only one chapter to cover all of the other 42 Presidents

Whites and Christians were the primary groups which founded the institutions and culture which made this country so great that everyone wants to come here. Why would we want to throw them under the bus and change for some risky Third World culture?
