One of my biggest beefs is when they changed BC and AD to BCE and CE.

Before Common Era and Common Era.

Cuts out Jesus completely.

@$$holes.

IIRC Pearson is the company that makes all of the tests mandated by Common Core. You must buy them from Pearson and they are not cheap. They are also leftist. Candidate Trump spoke out against Common Core. Has he done anything about it yet?

Not really the joke’s on them because the dating is still based on the birth of Jesus Christ even if not stated in the description.

BCE & CE are BOTH a common era.

BCE is as stupid and idiotic as the metric system coerced on ordinary people.

BCE is ARCHAIC STUPIDITY! Any Academic using BCE sounds like an archaic moron. They announce to the world, I, Mr/Mrs Academic am a moron.

Yes, I noticed that too.

What was SOOOO "special" that happened 2018 years ago that makes this the "common era"?

Was everyday life in 500 B.C. that different than 500 A.D.?

The big deal at the time was the collapse of the Roman Empire, which led to the Dark Ages.

Honestly, even if someone doesn't accept Christ, there is absolutely NO reason to think that His birth wasn't a pretty special event to say the least.

Hence, A.D. is a perfectly fine way to mark time.

And YES, I know that scholars put Jesus' birth technically at 4 or 6 B.C.

Without in any way changing the actual timeline based upon the life of Jesus Christ and devised by the Christian monk Dionysius Exiguus.

Communists subvert rather than create. It is no different than celebrating Christmas as Holiday. The timing remains the same.
