CNN has reported that five women have accused Mark Halperin of sexual harassment during his time at ABC News some years ago.
Halperin has been an MSNBC contributor for years, and a regular on the Morning Joe panel. Mika Brzezinski addressed the story this morning:
"CNN is reporting allegations regarding our friend, Mark Halperin . . . I'm sure we'll be talking about it again when we know more about it."
My take: it might sound like a cliche, but I was surprised and saddened to see the story. It's easy to lump all MSM figures in the same biased boat. But as an observer of Halperin for many years, he has struck me as someone who goes out of his way to see various sides to a story, and doesn't get swept up in the conventional MSM wisdom of the day. He has frequently acknowledged the media's liberal bias.

Yes, I was sad to see this about Halperin. I’ve been covering him for years, and regularly goes out of his way to see various sides of an issue and not just parrot the conventional MSM wisdom of the day. On many occasions, he has acknowledged the MSM’s liberal bias.

BTW I disagree with your assessment of Halperin. Every time I hear him, I hear a milquetoast mealy mouthed liberal trying to play both sides equally. Perhaps that's just me.

Anyone who has seen “Trumped” quickly realizes this jackass IS the media bias. Great to him utterly inconsolable at the end; there is that “moment of truth” look when a liberals realizes people don’t care what they say/spout ad nauseum.
Perhaps, MSNBC can start a new feature on cold cases.
My suggestion is reviewing the end of life matters associated with Lori Klausutis, who died 20-July-2001.
I’m thinking that many times, what is now considered ‘sexual harassment’ was considered ‘flirting’, not too many years ago. I would need to know exactly what was said or done to have an opinion on whether or not it was ‘sexual harassment’. That being said, ANY touching in inappropriate places is harassment. That is always crossing a line.
But women who spoke to CNN say he also had a dark side not made public until now. The stories of harassment shared with CNN range in nature from propositioning employees for sex to kissing and grabbing one’s breasts against her will.
Three of the women who spoke to CNN described Halperin as, without consent, pressing an erection against their bodies while he was clothed.

Yes, it’s true. I said to my husband this morning that I thought Halperin was a pretty fair reporter. I see he denies grabbing at women’s breasts, lol. On the other hand, a person can be good at his profession and still a sex harasser. But it does seem that a witch hunt is on when even a 94 year old president can be accused of “assault” for putting his hand on a woman’s bum!
Reports say one thing he liked to do was press a woody against the young girls. I guess that is called giving them a hint in libspeak.
