I’ve got one, looks pretty new, got it in a box with a baseball hat made like a flag in a storage auction about a year or 2 ago. Its somewhere in the garage in a different box. I am saving it for a friend in LA if he shows up here.
The mighty Mopar General Lee from Dukes of Hazzard is highly despised by the Liberals, the left, the Social Justice Warriors, and many other organizations on that side of the fence.
It’s interesting to remember and keep this in context: that the Dukes of Hazzard television show, much like The Beverly Hillbillies, television show was written in Hollywood California as a spoof to demean people from the South by promoting them as Hicks and Grits and Rednecks with Low Intelligence. Oddly enough the shows flourished and did very well in the market. But when Hollywoodland makes fun of... but when things go bad for the propaganda they point to these iconic figures that the left created to demean Southerners and it completely backfired.
I view this much like the Mel Gibson movie “The Passion”, where practically every night newscasters were appalled that Mel Gibson was making a movie about The Passion of Christ. What they did buy showing angst towards this effort of Mel Gibson was to actually promote the movie globally. Resulting in skyrocketing attendance at the theater from not only Christians, And Non-christians who wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Another backfire. in a roundabout way the Lord use newscasters and they’re angry feelings about Christianity to actually Propel the movie to a much wider audience and perhaps saving many more souls than would have happened otherwise.
When the hand is overplayed as is the case in many things on the left that are routinely overplayed, it appears that oftentimes the outcome is a good kick in the shins.
