Trump’s remark about Obamacare collapsing in Kentucky was clearly a pre-emptive strike at Beshear. Very clever.
I almost felt sorry for the poor slob.
It’s obvious that the democrat leadership threw him to the wolves because none of them wanted to make such an asinine rebuttal on national TV.
In a way it reminded me of the way Obama and Hillary sent Susan Rice out to mislead the public about Benghazi because they didn’t want their fingerprints on what they knew would be a disaster.
It was clear that Beshear’s response was written without regard to what the president had just said in his speech.
Just about every item he carped about had been addressed by the president only a few minutes earlier.
It was a pitiful performance and helped make the democrats look even weaker and more clueless.
LOL!!
This. Noone currently in office wanted to take on Trump’s speech.
A lot of people thought of the comet guy.
I heard this song by Bob Rivers many many years ago. You can sing along in honor the weird pick that Dems chose to respond to Trump

You’re exactly right. It was a feeble attempt to reach out to their traditional base of rural southern and midwestern white voters by trotting out someone that can supposedly identify with them. Given that the Dems have spent the last decade...at least...taking one gigantic, continuous steaming dump on those same rural white voters, somehow, I don’t think its going to work.
The first time I EVER heard the term ‘white privilege’ was during the 2012 election. I laughed so hard because I thought the media was overstepping by giving any screen time to this ludicrous and racist thought process.
But I was wrong, half the population are easily brainwashed by the media. But many of us don’t fall for it, and the racism against white people will continue to haunt the democrat party. They own it now. The media will have to work overtime to brainwash people back the other direction.
That’s great!
Yeah, Stevenson was dead so they could not put him out there.
Too bad, I was hoping for Liawatha to do it or perhaps one of the other rabid lefties.
“Before the state move to a federal exchange by new Republican governor Matt Bevin, 33% of Kentuckians approved of Kynect while 29% disapproved accoridng to a poll by Public Policy Polling in 2015. By comparison the Affordable Care Act had a 33% approval and 47% disapproval in the same poll.”
Does anyone else see the problems with the poll?
So only 1/3 approve of either one, but slightly fewer people hate Kynect so that makes it a rousing success?
I could only stand about five minutes of this guy.
My guess is that they picked this Political Fossil to give the speech because after Trump’s speech, Keith Ellison needed to get back to his ISIS membership drive.

“Democrats’ pick to respond to Trump’s speech was selected for one huge reason”
They needed a retard?
If the caption under the video they were showing hadn't said that it was the official Democrat response, how many people would have been able to figure out why the guy was on TV? He was completely irrelevant and just capped off a disastrous evening for the Democrats. All his effort did was help reinforce the perception that the Democrats are the problem and not part of the solution to anything.
Fossil? I’m 5 years older than the Governor and I’m no fossil. Trump will soon be 71 on April 26th I believe. No fossil there either. They should have had a more presentable spokesperson but frankly their bench is empty.
The Dems ran away from race. They kept their anti white crap to themselves. That was the first sign of intelligence in 18 months.
They are trying to get back the middle of the country. Good luck.
