Despite Media Freak-Out, Data Shows Fake News Sites Have Tiny Audience
The Daily Caller ^ | 12/18/16 | Peter Hasson

Despite a media blitz portraying fake news sites as having a real impact in national politics — and even capable of affecting the outcome of a presidential election — fake news sites struggle to reach any sort of real audience.

Fake news site DenverGuardian.com, subject of coverage from the New York Times and the Washington Post, is ranked 91,688 in web traffic in the U.S., according to web analytics firm Alexa. To put that number in perspective: the site supposedly impacting the national political scene is more than 84,000 slots behind the website for a Virginia community college.

On Sunday, the New York Times devoted front-page coverage to a site called the “Patriot News Agency.” The Times’ story emphasized the fact that “operators of Patriot News had an explicitly partisan motivation: getting Mr. Trump elected.”

But “Patriot News Agency” is even less popular than the “Denver Guardian,” ranking in at 184,898 in the country, according to Alexa. The site’s Facebook page has 113 total likes at this time.

Fake news site “MSNBC.com.co,” whose name meant to fool readers into confusing it with liberal network MSNBC, received mentions from the Washington Post and liberal website Vox.com, among others. But “MSNBC.com.co” reaches a tiny audience, according to Alexa’s data, which has the site ranked 549,714 in the United States.

The minuscule reach of fake news sites hasn’t kept the Times from running headlines like “As Fake News Spreads Lies, More Readers Shrug At The Truth” or “Media’s Next Challenge: Overcoming The Threat Of Fake News.”

The media is trying to claim fake news sites nobody has heard about helped Trump win. But if nobody is reading them and visiting the sites then they aren't all that influential. So they didn't "help" Trump.

Fake news sites like CNN? MSNBC? NYT?

Yeah, no one bothers with them anymore. Readership is seriously down.

Honestly, the "fake news" as an explanation for Hillary's loss is such a red herring, I think we should stop wasting energy trying to analyze it. There's no need to offer an explanation of what or how fake news is used, the targeted audience, it's efficacy in swaying opinion, or anything else.

Once "fake news" is no long fashionable, the Left will come up with some other fabricated excuse. Eventually, they'll get tired and go away.

Seriously, it’s the MSM I don’t trust anymore (if I ever did). They’ve faked more stories and their bias is so misleading that in effect it creates a false/fake account of reality.

I mean, watching CBS this morning, I have a hard time differentiating that from SNL

ABC
NBC
CBS
MSNBC
CNN
New York Times
Washington Post

Their audience is declining but I wouldn’t yet call it tiny.

I hate to rattle the ‘fake news media’ ‘talking heads’ and ‘pundits’ but they are dead, gone, over...

They were behind the Clinton machine for years, publishing lies, covering up real news, even on election night, they couldn’t tell the truth about all the polls, Clinton was behind from the day Trump announced, and he built his way to the top, with help from God of course, He had His Hands on him all the way, and thru God we got to see the curtains open and see what we now know, how filthy dirt our ‘propaganda’ media and our government is...

The ‘new media’ will be taking over after Jan. 20, 2017 and then we will see what ‘real news’ is like, until then...it’s dead, gone and garbage...

A fake news site saying fake news isn't real while most MSM and many political pundits have recognized it as real?

What's the answer to 10 journalists at the bottom of the sea?

MSM cognitive dissonance — the MSM does not recognize THEY are the sole reason for their pathetic trustworthiness rating. The MSM doesn’t recognize their own partisan bias. Being that the MSM does eat its own dog food, the MSM primarily consumes MSM partisan bias, creating an echo chamber. An honest analysis would demonstrate to any fool the decades long downward slope of public trust in mainstream reporting, yet they’d rather blame the boogeyman of (current year) than accept their own shortcomings. It is time corporate media dies the death it has rightfully earned.

That is their purpose! MSM has been “Fake News” for over a 100 years. The first thing the elites did (Rothschild/Morgans/Carnegies/Rockefeller) was to get control of all information outlets and publishing companies after they created their fortunes by monopoly and killing people (Machiavelli).

As Kissinger said, the only thing which is important, is the “perception” of the masses. The Founders knew that Truth (God) was essential. Only Truth can set us Free. With lies and misinformation there is no Free Will, no thinking possible. Everything is based on emotions, which is the way the elites control us—by embedding emotions connected to concepts when we are little through TV and brainwashing in public skools.

Since Eddy Bernays, in 1910, the evil elites have been controlling perceptions and beliefs in the masses through print and radio and then, their triumphant TV which could work on minds of babies. As long as they could get little children glued to their “programming” systems and the Public Brainwashing system of group-think: public schools—age lowered to 5 years. (John Taylor Gatto/Charlotte Iserbuy). The elites knew they had to get children away from the Natural environment of loving biological mother and father so they could completely warp perceptions of male/female, etc. to flip 2000 years of Ethics (to kill God/Christianity) which is their end game. Christianity is what ended Slavery as a good and it only promotes Truth.....which is so dangerous to elites.

Think of how unplugged Davy Crockett was. That is a person who could actually “think” for himself (think outside the State box) with no illusions about Life, since he LIVED life and didn’t “watch” someone’s artificial, irrational version of “life”. His mind was fully integrated, unlike the compartmentalized minds of traumatized children (MK-Ultra) and like brain-dead children in front of screens which shuts down and warps the mapping of the brain. It is why we have irrational, dumb “snowflakes”—they have been totally warped and brainwashed their whole life. Parents let TV and public schooling shape their worldview, not real life unstructured, (free) human interactions which are initiated by the child. Agency in a child (thinking for self) is only achieved by practice and habit which takes doing over and over. Not structured, controlled environments removed from the Natural, where children are controlled from dawn to dusk....they embed dependency and emasculation.

Satanists control TV and Movies for the most part to program the brain (shut it down so that it never integrates and attention span is destroyed by constant manipulation of (artificial) emotions)..... and they are MARKETING Ideas (ideology) to children in commercials, movies, everything—— and most of their “programs” are embedding dysfunction and warping reality.

Beware of what your children are ingesting-—it is much more important to protect their brains than their bodies in the long run. Get a kid-—totally controlled by the Satanists like Dahmer and you get a sodomizer, killer, and cannibal. (All ideas/behaviors are learned and habituated).

The snowflake “mind” is intentional. That comes from the Germans—Wundt and Fichte’s plan to destroy Free Will in children so they become slaves of the State for Life (they are so irrational they believe “snow is black”). Right Reason gave us the US Constitution and Modern Science and the Age of Reason and Fiche’s brainwashing (Prussian school system) was an intention creation to wipe out Reason in children—so they could attach emotions to irrational concepts like “snow is black”.

They do it through Language and Words——make Words meaningless like they did marriage——it destroys the history of the past, all connection to past language and concepts, so the Marxists can create their own Reality (which is total irrationality-—removal of our Constitution and the destruction of the Western Civilization so they get slave/serf/tribal minds back. The elites want slaves only who they can herd and kill when they become useless eaters. They also want children for their satanic pizza-parties/Jimmy Savile orgies/Epstien orgy island/Boy-sex rings (Franklin Covier-Up/Penn State and like in the M.E and UN/embassy orgies with the children.

IOW, it is Christianity (Truth/most rational, just religion) vs. Satanism (total irrationality—removal of Objective Truth (God) so that Evil is Good).

Sorry so long (as usual)——just thinking out loud.......with a keyboard.

“As Kissinger said, the only thing which is important, is the “perception” of the masses.”

Have never heard this quote, or association with Kissinger, but it is a profound statement that has been a fundamental building block of totalitarian regimes for a long, long time. It’s kind of ironic, that long ago the power of propaganda was limited by the limited ability to effectively distribute a manipulative message to the ‘masses’. Now, finally, we are coming into a time during which the power of propaganda is being limited by the fact that information (including true information that counters the propaganda) can be much more easily distributed.

"The media is trying to claim fake news sites nobody has heard about helped Trump win."

Oh, but they'll say, "Yeah, the original source is tiny, but it spreads out, like an ounce of blue ink, originally small, will turn an entire swimming pool blue."

But, sticking with that analogy, the blue ink isn't the only thing thrown in the pool - it's mixed in with a few gallons of red ink, from the MSM, which overwhelms the tiny amount of blue ink and leaves a very red pool.
