Universal Background Checks Simply Won’t Work(WHAT?!)

The antis couch Universal Background Check laws as being “common sense” and as closing a “loophole used by criminals to get guns.” Those who take that on face value and who don’t realize the full implications, including many gun owners who too often agree.

Regardless whether or not it's effective means ABSOLUTELY nothing to these assclowns. Why? Because they're at least trying to do something. Even if it only feels good. In NV, Question 1 was passed to implement UBC. Sadly, the only county, Clark county which is basically Vegas, was the only county in the state to approve it but the whole state will be subjected to it. If they can ever figure out all the finer details.

Their goal is not effectiveness in reducing gun violence. Their goal is registering guns.

So universal background checks is a very effective step toward achieving their goal.

UBC would essentially eliminate the private sale and purchase of firearms.

If one were to take anything other than what is written as legal. Infringe much?

ISRA Thursday Bulletin - December 15, 2016

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE

The Ohio State Legislature has passed and sent to Governor John Kasich an expanded concealed carry bill that would allow concealed carry on college campuses, as well as a few other places. The enemies of concealed carry claim the expansion of concealed carry is unnecessary because Police Officer Alan Honijko was near enough to stop the recent terrorist attack on the Ohio State campus. Of course, if the officer was around the block, the results would have been horrific. What about many of the Ohio college students who have already been murdered by thugs? There wasn’t a policeman there to save them. They never had a chance. If Kasich signs the bill, the present students will at least have a chance.

President-Elect Donald Trump continues to confound the media and the talking heads with his cabinet picks. His choice for Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, present CEO of Exxon Mobil, is being criticized for his friendship with Vladimir Putin, as well as other world leaders. Some Republicans, Democrats and the lame stream media are all jumping up and down and piling on.

The last two Secretaries of State were both political hacks and grifters. Hillary Clinton’s accomplishments for the benefit of the United States are exactly - um, well none. She did do a great job in shaking down foreign governments for the benefit of the “Clinton Foundation” and personal enrichment. It is hard to overlook the thousands of people slaughtered in the Middle East, the thousands of foreigners crammed down our throats, and the Americans that have been murdered, but she was not a friend of Putin.

Then there is John Kerry. This cat wouldn’t be anywhere if he hadn’t married the widow, the heir to the A. J. Heinz fortune. Kerry was in Vietnam and received three dubious Purple Hearts (you could go home after three Purple Hearts). He threw his United States Military medals in the Potomac River. Recently, he received the Legion of Honor from France. I wonder if he will throw that medal in the river. It is a beautiful medal, maybe we should keep the medal and........ Kerry’s record as Secretary of State equals Hillary’s. John Kerry in not a friend of Putin’s either. Maybe it is time we try a new tactic, perhaps someone who at least knows Putin. The media portrays Tillerson as a friend of Putin. I can tell you this: just because you know and deal with someone, does not mean they are your friend. You work together because you have to.

One of the interesting tidbits coming out of the election is the formation of the Congressional Second Amendment Caucus. Congressman Thomas Massie (Kentucky) and a group of other conservatives want to propose and support good Second Amendment legislation, as well as aid President-Elect Trump in defending and promoting the rights of law abiding gun owners. One of the bills they will be looking at is the National Reciprocity Bill for concealed carry. That bill is not quite ready to go yet because it does not have penalties for states who do not comply. It will be interesting to see how many Illinois Congressmen join the Second Amendment caucus.

In the not so newsy news department, the Brady Campaign admits to partnering with Hollywood in promoting its anti-gun agenda. “Miss Sloan” is the latest unabashed chapter in their deceptive saga. The opening weekend average for the movie was just $1167, per theater. That ranks as the 79th worst opening since 1982. I’m pretty sure they won’t get any of my money, or yours either.

It’s far easier to obtain firearms “illegally” than it is to obtain them legally.

Don’t ask me how I know this, but I can sum it up in one word for you: Detroit.

Live or work in Detroit, and you too would have a desire to get your hands on as much firepower as you could afford.

Did you forget the /s tag? It wouldn't even come close to eliminating private sales. That is what they think. But in places where UBC has been put in place, it has, at best, slowed private sales. Don't ask me how I know. Also, since when did criminals obey UBC laws, or, for that matter, ANY laws?

If you have to bring a dealer into the mix it’s not private anymore. So unless you have the equipment to do a background check you will use a dealer.

Glad I've already got mine. Of course, er, I don't have it any more; lost it in a boating accident.

Their goal is not effectiveness in reducing gun violence. Their goal is registering guns.

Their goal is establishing a tyranny. Gun registration, followed by disarmament of We the People are just tools necessary to establish their tyranny.

"UBC would essentially eliminate the private sale and purchase of firearms."

You left out one word....."legal". Private sales and purchases will certainly continue, as criminals don't do background checks.

You are correct. My point was that every single (legal) sale would have to go through a dealer.

The moment we make it a legal requirement that every firearm transfer have an accompanying government paper trail we have reversed the presumption of innocence concerning possession of firearms.

Possession of any firearm manufactured after the effective date will become a criminal act, for which the existence of the proper paper trail is an affirmative defense.

We’ll all be considered criminals unless we can prove our innocence.

Of course, their goal is all about destroying the 2nd Amendment. They can NOT abridge our Natural Rights which only come from God and pre-date all governments. The Constitution HAS to protect ALL Natural Rights from God.

We should have NO irrational “conditions” put on our Natural Rights. Our culture would be more polite and safer, if everyone had to carry a gun.

Logic and Reason is ejected from our so-called “legal” system where Justice (right reason) is ejected for “feel good” (subjective/unconstitutional) “law”.

We need to understand that it is our DUTY to disobey unjust (so-called) “law”. (Nuremberg Trials/Justice John Marshall—all “unjust law” is “null and void”).

It’s not being said, but it’s highly doubtful any other county in Nevada will ever EVER enforce their UBC.

Talking to a cop neighbor (NOT in Clark county) he said there would not be much looking into these things. You would probably have to be selling out of the back of your car in broad daylight outside the cop shop for them to mount any effort. But an arrest is an arrest.

The left wants background checks for non-violent American citizens who want to buy a gun legally. The left opposes background checks for individuals from countries where violence is their way of life.
