My wife told he in the early days she was at parties with him in Southie, and he was nothing you would expect today.
Back in the day he would throw stones at the blacks being bussed in, and was really racist. I think he was locked up for that too.. He did come form a rough neighbourhood,and my wife said Southie was all Irish, and Irish heritage back then where no one dared to deal drugs unless it was cleared by whitey Bulger and the older guys.

They do that here in at my Hollywood church. The 730 mass on Sundays is choc full of parishioners who wear shades at mass.

Your wife is correct. The Wahlbergs came from a rough neighborhood and Mark spent time in jail. A priest set him straight and now he and his family are set for life. Paul, the chef, who started the restaurants is truly good at what he does. Before anyone knew who he was, he was the chef at a local restaurant near us and his food was unfailingly great. His new place Alma Nove is fabulous.
Where is his new restaurant?

St Charles Boromeo has the most ‘Hollywood’ interior of any church renovation. The homilies involve movie references and the communion lines start from the back of the church. What’s not to like!

He was also great in Lone Survivor and pretty much every movie I’ve ever seen him in. Great actor of our generation, and without the liberal preaching too.
He’s also a convicted felon who has said he’d like to see all guns taken away but has tried to get his own felony conviction pardoned/expunged so he could become a LAPD reserve officer.
Besides their flagship Wahlbergers in thr Hingham Shipyard, they have the upscale Alma Nove right across the street. It’s a really lovely location.
Just last night my grandson told me that he was at Wahlburgers with some friends and Donnie bought their lunches.
